Mary appears to people. Jesus almost never does. That’s what makes today so important. Lourdes. Fatima. Guadalupe. Mary comes again and again, always pointing us to her Son. But in 1931, in a small convent in Poland, Jesus came Himself. He appeared to a sister named Faustina. A poor farm girl with little formal education. A woman given ordinary work in the kitchen and at the convent gate. And He gave her a mission: Tell the world about My mercy. Not someday. Now. He asked for an image bearing five words: Jesus, I trust in You. He gave her the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Hour of Mercy at 3 o’clock, and a feast on the Sunday after Easter. Faustina died on this day in 1938. She was 33. Then the devotion faced a painful setback. Rome restricted it in 1959, and those restrictions were not lifted until 1978. A young bishop from Kraków named Karol Wojtyła helped advance her cause. He later became Pope John Paul II, canonized Faustina, and established Divine Mercy Sunday for the whole Church. The message she was given is still before us: Jesus is rich in mercy. Trust Him.

Jesus Personally Taught St. Faustina How To Survive Spiritual Attacks… Here are 10 Instructions That Could Change Everything. 📅 October 5: Feast of St. Faustina Kowalska 1. Trust Me completely → Distrust opens the soul to fear. Trust disarms it. Jesus repeatedly says that graces flow according to trust (Diary 1578) and that the soul that trusts Him is never lost (Diary 723). 2. Run to My Heart immediately in temptation → Do not dialogue with temptation. Refuge is victory. “When you are about to fall, run at once to My Heart” (Diary 1485). He warns not to engage temptation but to flee to Him immediately. 3. Reveal temptations in confession → Darkness loses power when brought into the light. “The priest is My representative… reveal your soul to him” (Diary 1725). Confession breaks the power of hidden struggles. 4. Do not be guided by feelings → Feelings change. The will chooses love. “Do not be guided by feeling, because it is not always in your power” (Diary 1760). Faithfulness is measured by the will, not emotion. 5. Practice humility and patience with yourself → Impatience weakens the soul. Humility strengthens it. “My daughter, know that you are what you are before Me… nothing more” (Diary 56). Jesus calls the soul to patience in weakness and growth (Diary 1488). 6. Accept suffering with love → United to Christ, suffering becomes redemptive. “You will save more souls through prayer and suffering than through activity” (Diary 1767). Suffering embraced in union with Him has real spiritual power. 7. Remain obedient to legitimate spiritual authority → Obedience protects against deception. “My will is that you should obey your confessor in everything” (Diary 639). Obedience is tied to safety in the spiritual life. 8. Avoid curiosity about the future → Trust God’s timing. Curiosity breeds anxiety. “Do not be curious about the future… I am your security” (Diary 293). He redirects the soul from curiosity to trust. 9. Reject discouragement immediately → Discouragement never comes from God. “Why are you afraid…? Do you not know that I am always with you?” (Diary 613). Jesus corrects discouragement with His presence and truth. 10. Fight with courage, knowing I am with you → Courage rooted in Christ causes fear to retreat “Do not fear… I am with you always” (Diary 586). “Fight like a knight… do not be discouraged” (Diary 450). 💬 Is your spiritual life built on discipline… or just motivation when you feel like it?

The Germans who witnessed the atrocities committed by Muslims against Christians during the Ottoman period in Greece wrote: "The murder of the men and the drowning of the women was still not enough for a Muslim Turk thirsting for Christian blood; the poor innocent children were also to be sacrificed. So he had the defenseless little ones seized and mercilessly hanged from a tree. Comfortably the monster smoked his pipe beneath them, had himself served with sherbet, and rejoiced in the cries of fear and the death agonies of the guiltless little ones, for they were, after all, only — Christian children" "Gräuelscenen aus Griechenland" "Atrocity scenes from Greece." From the 1820s by the Nuremberg publisher Friedrich Campe.

What actually separates a soul from God at death is more serious, and more hopeful, than many people realize. ⤵️ 📅 St. Faustina's Feast Day: October 5 🕯️ Lived: 1905–1938 📍 Location: Poland 🙏 Patronage: Divine Mercy and those seeking God’s mercy Saint Faustina Kowalska was a humble Polish nun who became one of the best known Catholic mystics of the 20th century. She had little education and no important position. Yet Jesus entrusted her with a message the world desperately needed: God’s mercy is greater than our sins. But mercy is not permission to stay in sin. The Catholic Church teaches that God desires every person to be saved, but He also gives us free will. A person who knowingly and freely chooses grave sin and dies without repenting of mortal sin remains separated from God. That is why repentance matters, and why Confession is such an incredible gift. Through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Christ forgives our sins and restores sanctifying grace when we come to Him with true repentance. If someone cannot reach Confession before death, perfect contrition can reconcile that person to God when it comes from love of God and includes the sincere intention to confess as soon as possible. If someone dies in God’s friendship but still needs purification from the effects of sin, the Church teaches that this final purification is Purgatory. Purgatory is not a second chance after rejecting God. It is purification for a soul already destined for Heaven. Saint Faustina spent her life pointing souls back to one truth: never be afraid to return to Jesus. She recorded the messages she received in her Diary and helped spread the Divine Mercy devotion throughout the world. Saint John Paul II canonized her in 2000. Her life leaves us with one urgent reminder: no matter how far you have fallen, while you are alive, the door of repentance is still open. Run to Jesus. Go to Confession. Receive His mercy. ❤️‍🔥 🔁 Share this because too many people live as if Hell is not real. Saint Faustina’s visions were a serious warning. Share this so someone is reminded to repent, turn away from mortal sin, and return to Jesus while there is still time. #saintfaustina #Catholic #CatholicSaints #SaintStories #visionofhell

Said Abdelrazek converted from Islam to Christianity and wasnt ashamed ✝️ For that, Egypt locked him in 10th of Ramadan Prison. He was hung in a crucifixion position so guards and inmates could mock him. They removed a cross tattoo off his body. He still would not recant. On July 15, 2025, they arrested him againthis time for trying to change his ID to match his faith. The charge: terrorism. The real reason: he left Islam. His health is collapsing. Medical care is being withheld. His next hearing is October 21, 2026. That date could decide whether he lives or disappears💔 This is not terrorism. This is apostasy treated as a national-security crime. Remember those in prison as if you were there with them. (Hebrews 13:3) Demand his release. Share his name. Do not let this stay quiet. #FreeSaidAbdelrazek #ReligiousFreedom #ChristianPersecutionShorter Said Abdelrazek is in an Egyptian prison because he became a Christian. A British TV host just SNAPPED on air on the U.K. Government for ignoring clear links between mass immigration and terrorism. “Let me teach you a thing or two in case you don’t get it yet. I would imagine that whatever has gone down near that base, the people who done it, probably came into the country from somewhere else and came there specifically to do whatever it is they were planning to do” Look at the men who were caught trying to bomb RAF Fairford air base. Do they look “British” to you? It doesn’t take a genius to see that they are third worlders. Everyone is sick of being betrayed by their own leaders with suicidal immigration policies. Enough.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE - 9/11 STARTED IN A MOSQUE GERMANY CLOSED THE ONE THAT MADE THE PILOTS. AMERICA KEPT OPEN THE ONES THAT SHELTERED THE HIJACKERS. WHY!? (THREAD 1 of 6) The 19 Islamic terrorists who murdered 3,000 Americans on September 11 did not drop out of the sky. Before they boarded those planes, they used mosques in the West to pray, meet, find housing, and stay hidden. In Hamburg, Germany, three of the four men who flew the planes worshipped at Al-Quds Mosque: Mohamed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi, who hit the Twin Towers, and Ziad Jarrah, who flew the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania. That mosque is where a student circle became the suicide pilots of 9/11. In San Diego, two other hijackers already inside the United States - Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar - used local mosques to settle in. They got help with an apartment, a bank account, and an imam named Anwar al-Awlaki. In Falls Church, Virginia, those men followed Awlaki to Dar Al-Hijrah, minutes from Washington. From there the road ran to Dulles Airport and the plane that hit the Pentagon. In 2010, Germany raided the Hamburg mosque, banned the group that ran it, and locked the door. Officials called it a recruiting house for holy war. The Islamic Center of San Diego is still open. Masjid Ar-Ribat, Awlaki’s San Diego mosque, is still open. Dar Al-Hijrah in Falls Church is still open. This is not about someone who once visited a mosque. These were the buildings the plot used for imams, apartments, money, cover, and time. Germany locked its mosque. The American ones never paid a price. This thread takes one mosque at a time and lays out the file.

We’re watching our culture rot from the inside out. Between the total breakdown of the family, the steady creep of socialism, and a political divide that’s tearing communities apart, it’s obvious we’ve lost our moral compass. This is what happens when you trade faith, personal responsibility, and freedom for government control. We can't just sit back and watch anymore. Midterm elections historically see a lower turnout, but we can't afford to stay home this time. It’s time to stop the bleeding, get to the polls, protect our kids, and fight to get our country back to its roots before there’s nothing left to save.

He speared the side of Christ, and then he became a Saint, a centurion in the armies of God. Saint Longinus was the Roman Centurion who pierced the side of Christ with a spear to ensure He was dead. Tradition says he was partially blind. When the blood and water flowed from Jesus' side, it splashed onto his face, instantly restoring his sight. He threw down his spear and cried out: "Truly this man was the Son of God!" The weapon that speared Christ became a relic (The Spear of Destiny), and the man who wielded it became a martyr for the Faith. Later he was persecuted by the Roman Empire for spreading the faith in Cappadocia. There he preached Christ crucified and risen, converting pagans, baptizing multitudes. The governor demanded he bow to idols. The soldier of Christ refused. He laughed at their lifeless statues: “They are not gods. They cannot save.” They arrested him, tortured him and took his eyes, a brutal mockery of the vision Christ had given him. But even in darkness, Longinus stood strong: “I have seen the truth,” he declared, “and no man can blind me now.” Still desperate to break him, the governor led Longinus to the temple of the gods, demanding he bow. Before him stood a massive idol, cold and lifeless. Then they cut out his tongue, thinking they had stolen his voice. But the Heavens defied them, Longinus continued to speak clearly, his words as if carried by God Himself. His hand found the hilt of a discarded sword. And with one mighty strike, he cleaved the false god’s head from its body. As the stone shattered, he roared for all to hear: “NOW WE SHALL SEE IF THEY ARE GODS OR NOT!” The Emperor had him martyred for this, but his actions had already converted thousands. Saint Longinus was a soldier of Rome, but he died a warrior of Christ, and in that, he won the greatest battle of all. The battle for his soul. Saint Longinus, patron saint of soldiers and converts, pray for us!

Some Protestants say Catholics do not know Scripture, do not read Scripture, or attend a Church where the Bible plays only a minor role. So rather than debate the stereotype, consider what happened at Catholic Mass today. Every Catholic at Mass for the Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time heard: Isaiah 56:1, 6–7 Psalm 67 Romans 11:13–15, 29–32 Matthew 15:21–28 These are not four random passages placed next to one another. The Church is doing something much deeper. She is taking us through promise, prayer, apostolic interpretation, and fulfillment. And then she brings us to the altar. Here is what actually happened. FIRST READING: ISAIAH 56 Isaiah speaks of a day when foreigners, people outside Israel, will come to worship the God of Israel: “And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD... these I will bring to my holy mountain.” Then comes the great promise: “For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” Isaiah 56:7 To understand that, you have to understand Israel. God chose Abraham and promised: “By you all the families of the earth shall bless themselves.” Genesis 12:3 Israel's election was never simply God choosing one nation and forgetting everybody else. Israel was chosen as the people through whom God's saving plan would eventually reach all nations. God gave Israel the covenants, the Law, the prophets, the Temple, the priesthood, the sacrifices, and ultimately the Messiah. Isaiah now looks forward to the day when the Gentiles themselves will come to Israel's God. Notice what he does not say. He does not say that the nations will find another god. He says they will come to Israel's God. Already the first reading has established the framework for the Gospel. But the Mass isn't finished with Isaiah. THE PSALM ANSWERS THE PROPHET After hearing Isaiah's prophecy, the congregation responds with Psalm 67: “Let the peoples praise thee, O God; let all the peoples praise thee!” And: “That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving power among all nations.” Isaiah announces that the nations will come. The Psalm turns that prophecy into prayer: Let them come. Let every nation know God's salvation. Let every people praise Him. The liturgy is already interpreting Scripture with Scripture. Then comes St. Paul. SECOND READING: ROMANS 11 Now we have moved forward centuries. The Messiah has come. Christ has died. Christ has risen. The Gospel is spreading throughout the Gentile world. And this creates a profound theological problem. If Gentiles are pouring into the people of God while so many Jews have not accepted Jesus as Messiah, does this mean God has abandoned Israel? Paul's answer is emphatically no. Today Catholics heard: “For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.” Romans 11:29 That one sentence matters enormously. God does not casually discard His covenant promises. Paul says Israel's unbelief has mysteriously become the historical occasion through which the Gospel has gone out to the Gentile world. But he immediately warns Gentile Christians against arrogance. Earlier in the same chapter: “Remember it is not you that support the root, but the root that supports you.” Romans 11:18 Christianity did not appear out of nowhere. Jesus is Israel's Messiah. Mary is Jewish. The Apostles are Jewish. The Old Testament is Israel's Scripture. The covenants and promises came through Israel. The Gentiles have been brought into a salvation God prepared through Israel and fulfilled in Israel's Messiah. Paul therefore says: “For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?” Romans 11:15 And then Paul places Jew and Gentile together beneath the mercy of God: “For God has consigned all men to disobedience, that he may have mercy upon all.” Romans 11:32 Now notice what has happened. Isaiah: the Gentiles will come. Psalm 67: let the nations come. Romans: Paul explains how God's mercy has actually reached the Gentiles without nullifying His promises to Israel. Now Catholics stand for the Gospel. And suddenly we watch the prophecy happen. THE GOSPEL: MATTHEW 15 Jesus enters the region of Tyre and Sidon. That detail matters. This is Gentile territory. And Matthew tells us that a woman approaches Him. But Matthew does not merely call her a woman. He calls her a Canaanite woman. That description reaches deep into Israel's history. She is unmistakably an outsider. Yet listen to what this Gentile woman cries: “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David.” Son of David. A Gentile woman recognizes the Jewish Messiah. Isaiah 56 is beginning to unfold before our eyes. But Jesus initially says nothing. The disciples want her sent away. Then Jesus says something that can sound harsh if ripped out of its biblical context: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:24 But because the Church has already given us Isaiah and Paul, we understand what is happening. There is an order in salvation history. Israel first. Then the nations. Paul says exactly the same thing elsewhere: “The gospel... is the power of God for salvation to every one who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16 The woman persists. She comes before Jesus and says: “Lord, help me.” Then comes the famous exchange: “It is not fair to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.” She answers: “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.” Her response is extraordinary. She does not deny Israel's privileged place in salvation history. She does not demand that God's covenant plan be rewritten around her. She accepts the order Jesus describes while trusting that His mercy is so abundant that even the overflow is enough to save her. And Jesus answers: “O woman, great is your faith!” Matthew 15:28 Her daughter is healed. Now go back through the readings. Isaiah promised that the foreigner would come to Israel's God. Psalm 67 prayed that God's saving power would reach the nations. Paul explained how Gentiles were receiving mercy while God's calling of Israel remained irrevocable. Then Matthew places a Gentile woman before Israel's Messiah, calling Him Son of David, begging for mercy, and receiving it through faith. That is not a collection of disconnected Bible verses. That is a single biblical drama unfolding across centuries. Promise. Prayer. Apostolic interpretation. Fulfillment in Christ. And Catholics heard all of it before the homily even began. THIS HAPPENS EVERY SUNDAY This is what is so strange about the claim that Catholicism is somehow detached from Scripture. The Catholic Sunday lectionary deliberately places the Old Testament, Psalm, apostolic writings, and Gospel into conversation with one another. Week after week the Catholic is carried through salvation history: Creation. Abraham. Covenant. Exodus. Law. Kingship. Prophets. Exile. Messianic expectation. Incarnation. Cross. Resurrection. Pentecost. Church. Mission. Judgment. New creation. And unlike a system where the preacher simply decides each week what passage he wants to discuss, the Catholic priest ordinarily receives the readings from the Church's lectionary. He does not choose today's Gospel because it happens to support the subject he wants to preach about. The text is given to him. The preacher must confront the Scripture rather than continually selecting Scripture to fit the preacher. But something even deeper is happening at Mass. THE BIBLE IS NOT MERELY BEING STUDIED. IT IS BEING LIVED LITURGICALLY. Catholics do not believe the Liturgy of the Word is simply preliminary instruction before the “real Catholic stuff” begins. The Word and the Eucharist belong together. And that pattern is profoundly biblical. Look at the road to Emmaus. First, Jesus opens the Scriptures: “And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.” Luke 24:27 Then they arrive at the table: “He took the bread and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them.” Luke 24:30 And then: “Their eyes were opened and they recognized him.” Luke 24:31 Do you see the pattern? Scripture opened. Bread broken. Christ recognized. That is the architecture of the Mass. We do not move from “the Bible part” into something unrelated called “the Catholic part.” The same Christ proclaimed throughout Scripture is the Christ we encounter sacramentally at the altar. The Word prepares us for the Eucharist. The Eucharist brings us sacramentally into communion with the One toward whom the Scriptures point. So what actually happened at Mass today? A Catholic walked into church and, in less than an hour, was carried across centuries of salvation history. He heard Isaiah announce that the nations would someday worship Israel's God. He answered Isaiah by praying a Psalm asking that God's salvation reach every nation. He heard Paul explain how God's mercy had reached the Gentiles while insisting that God's calling of Israel remained irrevocable. Then he stood for the Gospel and watched a Gentile woman approach Israel's Messiah, call Him Son of David, plead for mercy, persevere through apparent rejection, and finally hear Christ say: “Great is your faith.” Then the Scriptures were explained. Then the congregation professed the apostolic faith. Then the Church prayed for the needs of the world. Then the gifts were brought forward. Then the priest prayed the Eucharistic Prayer. And then Catholics approached the altar to receive the same Jesus Christ to whom the entire biblical story points. That is what actually happens at Mass. So yes, let us talk about Catholics and the Bible. Many individual Catholics should undoubtedly read Scripture more often. Some Catholics know their Bibles poorly. That criticism can be entirely fair. But do not confuse the biblical ignorance of some Catholics with the worship of the Catholic Church. Because the Church does not hide Scripture from her children. She surrounds them with it. She reads Moses and the Prophets to us. She puts the Psalms on our lips. She reads the Apostles to us. She makes us stand when Christ speaks in the Gospel. She fills the prayers of the Mass with biblical language. She interprets the New Testament in light of the Old and the Old Testament in light of Christ. And then, after proclaiming the history of salvation, she brings us to the altar of the One in whom that history reaches its fulfillment. Catholicism does not ultimately treat the Bible as an end in itself. It receives Scripture for what Scripture is: the inspired Word of God that reveals God's saving plan and leads us to Jesus Christ. Every Sunday the Church effectively says: Listen to the prophets. Pray the Psalms. Listen to the Apostles. Stand and hear the Gospel. Watch the promises converge in Christ. And then: Come to the table. That is not a Church unfamiliar with Scripture. That is a Church living inside Scripture.
