BREAKING: GET HIM! Rep. Jamie Raskin pounces on Trump's blatantly illegal use of our tax dollars for MAGA political ads by demanding that the Government Accountability Office and the Office of Special Counsel immediately investigate. And come November, Raskin gets subpoena power... “President Trump is obviously desperate for the American people to ‘love’ him, a problem that goes beyond your jurisdiction. But stealing taxpayer dollars to pay for Mr Trump’s narcissistic ego trips is plainly illegal," Raskin and Rep. George Whitesides wrote to the federal watchdog groups. The ads have quickly snowballed into a major scandal for Trump for the obvious reason that a President cannot be allowed to take our money, turn around, and use it to fund propaganda to help his party in the midterm elections. One of the ads urges Americans to "love" Trump. Another features him vowing to defeat "communists, Marxists, and fascists" as well as "warmongers," an ironic promise since Trump is himself a fascist warmonger who started the most idiotic, disastrous war in American history with this Iran conflict. Raskin and Whitesides are urging the GAO to identify the source of the money and tally exactly how much was used. They're also pushing for a formal decision on which, if any, laws were broken. Spoiler: laws were broken. Specifically, Raskin and Whitesides believe that Trump and his minions violated a provision in the spending bill that outlaws the use of funds for “publicity or propaganda" as well as the Anti-Deficiency Act, federal laws governing the misuse of public money, as well as the Hatch Act. While the President is exempt from the Hatch Act, the lackeys who presumably helped with the ads are not. “These ads constitute an illegal use of taxpayer funds, perhaps best demonstrated by the fact that they are virtually identical to the ones Donald Trump used during his 2024 presidential campaign, and in fact use the same footage and the same inept ideological messaging,” wrote Raskin and Whitesides. The deeply uncomfortable truth for Trump and his Republican cult is that they're heading into a shellacking in the midterm elections and at this point there's nothing they can do about it. We're going to show up en masse, vote blue, and hand subpoena power to Raskin and his fellow Democrats. Then, they're going to set about uncovering every last crime that this mafia regime has committed. Please ❤️ and share to demand a full investigation and subsequent prosecutions!

Jack Smith was taking direct insults such as being called a "dirtbag" while another ridiculous grandstanding senator said that Smith made him want to throw up in his mouth. Throughout the entire hearing Smith was unflappable, demonstrating a remarkable civic professionalism. He simply answered the questions honestly to the best of his ability not once getting defensive and losing his composure. I for one am very proud of Jack Smith. Any American citizen of good faith who isn't captured in the talons of a toxic cult would have been able to see with clarity a stoic defense of the rule of law on the part of Jack Smith. Anyone thinking otherwise might want to do some serious soul searching on how one might have allowed oneself to be so susceptible to cultism.
Jack Smith exemplifies moral courage. MAGA Senators exemplify arrogance, dishonesty, and foolishness. Which is why Jack Smith whips them all single-handed, again and again.

THIS IS INSANE. While Jared Kushner was helping negotiate “peace” in Gaza, his private equity firm held the largest stake in an Israeli financial giant invested in Israel’s biggest weapons manufacturer and other military suppliers. And his firm was making hundreds of millions along the way. How is this remotely acceptable for someone helping shape U.S. Middle East policy?
A CNN investigation has found that while Jared Kushner acted as a key Middle East peace negotiator, his private equity firm held the largest stake in an Israeli company backing businesses tied to Israel's military campaign in Gaza, including its largest arms manufacturer. cnn.it/4y0xe5x

The GOP promised their tax cuts for the rich would lead to growth. But growth slowed down. They said their tariffs would bring back manufacturing. But factory jobs are down under Trump. Republican policies don’t work. Change begins on November 3.

Good morning and Happy Friday to everyone who sees all these trump voters waking TF up and realizing what a disaster he is, and is DETERMINED to spread the word far and wide. We are ALL paying more at the pump and grocery stores, and his shitty decisions are to blame.

I could only make it halfway through this transcript before I had to stop. It’s almost unbelievable that this man is the President of the United States. He rarely finishes a coherent thought. At one point, he actually says that all of his decisions “are correct ones.” His explanations of the national debt and basic economics are astonishingly muddled. And he makes false claim after false claim with absolute confidence. I can't tell if he's just doesnt care that he's lying or actually belives the lies himself. Reading the transcript—not watching him, not hearing the delivery, just reading his actual words—is jarring. time.com/article/2026/10/01/…

This is cruelty. Undocumented immigrants are spending months in detention facilities awaiting resolution of deportation cases. Before Trump 2, they could get a bond hearing to show they aren’t a danger or flight risk. Now thousands sit in horrible conditions when they could be at home. Pure Stephen Miller. Pure Trump. washingtonpost.com/politics/…
