Russia receives extra revenue from exporting fuel; it spends this money on the war against Ukraine, and Ukraine then pays for it with human lives. So it's important that the US has bipartisan opposition to weakening sanctions.
It's a warning for vessel owners: permission of the administration does not remove all legal and reputational risks of such shipments.

The Dems may not take the Senate and might win only 12 House seats. I know Dems and Never Trumpers are thrilled with the polling; I sure am. But hear me out.
All polls of polls show almost every Senate leaning Dems/toss up/leaning GOP within the MOE, with few exceptions.
That means all the Polls could all be right (Dems +2 or +3 or even) but given the MOE (most are +/- 4), the GOP could win every single swing/leaning/toss up race.
