This fungi is Hypocrea argillacea, a coparasite which parasitises another fungus. It's officially an endangered species and red rated so we're delighted to see it in our small reserve @GreenHampshire @Myco_Mania @bigmeadowsearch @LGSpace

Please plant a hawthorn! These native trees are wonderful for wildlife, supporting a wide range of species – including more than 300 insect species. The blossoms, berries and leaves are a good source of food for all sorts of creatures. More native trees: littlegreenspace.org.uk/feat…

When tidying the garden, avoid burning garden debris on a bonfire. Instead, pile up branches and fallen leaves in a quiet corner. This provides shelter for hedgehogs, beetles, toads, slow worms and other animals. More tips for nature-friendly gardens: littlegreenspace.org.uk/feat…

Fake cobwebs like these may look spooky – but what's really scary about them is that they can trap & injure wildlife, including birds, insects & small mammals. And fake webs aren't recyclable – so will end up in landfill for many years. More: littlegreenspace.org.uk/feat…

Please don't leave Halloween pumpkins to rot in your garden, or dump them in the countryside. Eating pumpkins can make hedgehogs, birds and other animals poorly. Instead, dispose of pumpkins in a covered compost bin or council food waste bin. More: littlegreenspace.org.uk/feat…

Fruit trees benefit all sorts of wildlife, including bees, bats and birds. But around two thirds of UK orchards have been lost since 1960. Planting an apple tree in your garden or community can really help to boost biodiversity. A guide to what to grow: littlegreenspace.org.uk/feat…

Around 1.7m pieces of plastic are binned in the UK every week. There are lots of eco-friendly soap bars that contain only natural ingredients, and many are plastic-free - so choosing bars instead of liquid handwash is one way to reduce plastic pollution. littlegreenspace.org.uk/revi…
