A personal news update:
Next Tuesday will be my last day at WFAA.
It’s the end of my time in a profession that has provided me with amazing opportunities, but I’m incredibly excited about the future.
I’ll still be watching, reading and cheering from the sidelines.

We're all paying the price after Republicans increased the cost of living - look no further than an order at Waffle House.
Just a reminder Mizzou is without its starting pass rushers today and its best offensive player
Jadan Baugh - 12 carries for 13 yards
Jamal Roberts - 20 carries for 123 and 2 TDs
Mizzou’s backup is better than Florida’s Heisman candidate
The decision to throw twice when you had a 3rd and 3 and have been running well in the second half absolutely needs to be questioned aggressively.
Just insane play calling

So, just the line play, in general. I think 3 guys could've blocked that field goal.

OK I just made that up but it does feel like a lot! My story on why we're in password hell: theatlantic.com/technology/2…
Don’t need AI to tell me my worldview is “long suffering Mizzou sports fan”
With only a couple exceptions, this list is pretty much “what percent of your city’s residents grew up there”.
Probably even more impactful than “do you have any other pro sports”
Nielsen just released its first-ever NFL Fandom Index, which ranks how avid NFL fans are in each team market based on 8 key metrics:
-- Apparel purchases
-- Event attendance
-- Linear TV viewership
-- Streaming
-- Radio listening
-- Betting intent
-- Social media following
-- General interest
Unsurprising: Small markets generally outperform larger ones (Boston at 21 is a bit of a head-scratcher though)

You’re telling me a team in Kansas City got an overly favorable call in a critical part of the game?!
Has a team ever had an easier path to the World Cup semifinal than Argentina?
Will get there (potentially) without facing a single top 15 team.
Norway had two top 15 matchups before it left the group stage.
Argentina played:
28
24
63
67
29
Next: 19 - Switzerland
The #USMNT can be proud of making the nation care about soccer but not much more.
This team lost to the best two countries they played and beat one team ranked in the top 30.
Tough to prove this is progress.
Belgium exposed the gulf in class between them in every way
Hate all you want but the US came into tonight with a clear plan: Complete as many passes as possible while staying under 0.5xG and they are executing that plan flawlessly
The narrative that the card was overturned due to the Trump phone call seems to have done more harm than good in terms of international backlash.
And it turns out the phone call was to just understand the card while it was already being reviewed
