Trainer Yasuo Tomomichi has commented on STINGER GLASS's scratching:
"The gait test was fine, but the final CT scan revealed that his left front leg had something. I'd been receiving reports that he was doing well and he was even ridden in training this morning. It can't be helped, but it's obviously disappointing."
STINGER GLASS returns to Japan on November 9 and they will aim for another race before the end of the year, as per ↓

Racing Victoria Stewards, acting on specialist veterinary advice, have this morning ordered the withdrawal of the Yasuo Tomomichi-trained Stinger Glass from the entries for the 2026 Lexus Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington next Tuesday, 3 November 2026.

Racing Victoria veterinarians today conducted the first of two pre-race physical veterinary inspections of horses entered in the $10.2 million Lexus Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington on Tuesday, 3 November. A total of 36 horses were examined today by RV veterinarians.
