I'm now over on Bluesky if anyone out there is still listening/isn't a bot. Same username and low standard of content as here. It's about consistency 🧐

Record day of sales for Paris 2024 Paralympic Games tickets on Monday. Fantastic to see. Building the momentum towards 28 August. Six sports currently with no availability, more will follow soon. Best advice is buy now at tickets.paris2024.org

Spare a thought for the two boxers involved in all of this. They’re human beings. Made to look like criminals or worse. Some of the comments are out of control.

I posted something similar on here yesterday. Lots of people pointing to evidence which has little basis. Make no mistake, this is a political story with athletes being used as cannon fodder.

This is a topic which runs much deeper than loaded headlines and social media posts and this article helps explain a lot of it. Regardless of stance, there's one major aspect lacking here: Clarity 🧵 rte.ie/news/primetime/2024/0…

#BMXRacing has been one of the events my whole family has been gripped by this #Olympics It's a shame that Beth Shriever didn't bring it home, but I'm so glad my kids watched this interview. A wonderful athlete who helps put things in perspective. What a role model.

I don't often post on social media anymore as it seems to be more vitriolic than ever, especially when it comes to issues like this. To clarify my own position, I think the world has a lot more grey areas than it ever has done in the past.

Dealing with those grey areas takes reasoning, education and structured debate. Not rage-fuelled posts that aim to stoke the fire more, which is what prompted me to pop my head above the parapet for the first time in a while #Olympics

It's taken me three days, but I finally hear @Claytonvolley on the beeb 😉. Well called Aus v USA match sir!

Feels appropriate that Andy Murray and Mark Cavendish having swan songs at the same time. Super talented but also hard working, determined and understated heroes of British sport hugely respected by peers and true fans.
