Today we celebrate St. Teresa of Ávila, Virgin and Doctor of the Church, a great reformer of the Carmelite Order and woman of deep prayer. Her life and writings remind us that prayer is a path to deeper friendship with God and a life of holiness. St. Teresa of Jesus, pray for us!

Friends, as both a proud Catholic bishop and a proud American, it was a privilege to speak at the US Embassy to the Holy See on the points of contact between Catholicism and America. At its heart, America was founded upon deeply biblical convictions that ground our understanding of equality, human rights, freedom, and religious liberty. Thank you to the @USinHolySee and Ambassador @BrianBurchUSA for inviting me to speak in celebration of America at 250.
I invite you to watch the full address.
Don’t let your rosary ghost you from the junk drawer!
Today, on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, take yours out and pray it! Our lady is always ready to lead us closer to Jesus, no matter how long it’s been.
Consider this your sign to ran that rosary and pray!

Today we celebrate Sts. Cornelius, Pope, and Cyprian, Bishop, Martyrs. During a time of persecution, they courageously defended the unity of the Church and remained faithful to Christ. May their witness inspire us to stand firm in faith and extend mercy to others!
