Pick me ADHD people are so annoying saying "I have ADHD but I don't struggle much..." to impress the neurotypcials
Nobody gets diagnosed with ADHD in the UK if they don't have significant struggles so stfu and stop lying.
Weβre all a bit autistic
Weβve all got a touch of the tism
Weβve all got a quirks
Fuck off with the belittling.
No we all donβt.
Because if we all did, there would be a lot more compassion to those who genuinely take it day by day, even hour by hour.

If you have ADHD in the UK at the moment it feels like every single day you have to read yet more misleading headlines and then the resulting commentary from people who seem to despise our very existence and it's so utterly, utterly demoralising and upsetting to just have no way to push back β at Winsford, England

Thatβs some of the MH journey Iβve been on. Most people couldnβt function a day whilst trying to navigate this, yet Iβm expected to be 100% effective, daily.
Pah.
Considering ADHD & ASD are so spoken about & almost being jumped on like a trend, they are the most misunderstood conditions.
People need to educate themselves & stop debilitating those who genuinely live with it daily.
Itβs fucking hard okay.

not knowing what to do anymore because somehow it's always my fault, always my attitude, always my response, always my actions, and always me apologizing.

Nobody ever mentions this ADHD wound. quietly believing your entire life that nobody actually wants to be your friend. that if you called to hang out you'd be bothering them. that if you invited them somewhere you'd be an inconvenience. and every friendship you have is one you're grateful for on the assumption they'll leave soon.

There's a strange kind of grief that comes with discovering you're autistic as an adult. Because suddenly, the things you spent years hating about yourself have an explanation, the friendships you couldn't maintain, the exhaustion after being around people, the times you were called dramatic, difficult, awkward, too sensitive, weird. The routines you desperately needed but couldn't explain. The meltdowns you thought were tantrums long past the typical tantrum years.
It's relief because finally your life makes sense, but it's also sadness for the little girl you used to be who was misunderstood to the point she didn't understand herself.

My biggest pet peeve as an autistic person is when people project their own meaning onto what I said and then get mad at ME for it. The hell???
