This is true and works to its benefit and detriment at the same time. Overwatch has too many characters involved in RoT and the result is that arcs didn’t feel as meaningful as they should have outside of a couple people. The characters that were focused on this year (1/2)

To me, RoT is a soap opera written and created by a team figuring out insane logistics for the first time as well as 1) telling a complete story 2) getting people to care That doesn’t mean its issues can’t be learned from, but if I’d written it I’d be like “shit, we did it.”

need to take a back seat next year. We understand where doom, soj, Winston, vendetta are at character wise. Let’s expand upon what’s going on in Japan, deadlock gang, sigma, etc etc. It’s okay to keep some people in the background. (2/2).

Seeing two posts back to back with entirely opposite, strongly-worded opinions is kinda why I think RoT was a success even if there’s so much to learn from it. Again, with Invasion, there were crickets.

Gonna hold off on my own thoughts about RoT ending because frankly like… I could talk about it for three hours? But I will say after years of being kneecapped over and over T4 finally told a complete story and they need resources to continue and improve on what they learned.

What’s great about this moment is during the first fight, they were kind of in the same place, both arrogant, focused on power and control, Doomfist has gone through it and learned since then. When he sees vendetta he sees where he was months prior and feels for her, 1/2

The way doom looks at vendetta, i wonder if hes reliving the moment he took down his predecessor- or he sees a lot of himself in vendetta and almost pities her? Doom was the best part of this imo

Do these people even like the game? Genuinely There's now a hero every season with two larger balance patches and occasional hotfixes throughout. Occasional arcade modes and seasonal events. I think these people just don't like the game if skins are the only thing exciting them
