We also considered the network themes of maternity, carers, parents, career development, menopause and personal safety, and what we could do under each of these themes in the coming year.
Finally the issue of pay during maternity leave and the issues this can cause, such as not being able to pay for renewal of professional registration.
If you have any ideas of actions we can take to support our themes, please let @ninavanm, @clairejwells, @Ennie17193031 or @HRShenaling know. We’re building our annual plan for the Network now.

Hearing the brilliant @joan_myers share some fantastic insights re equality:
⭐Come down off you high horse and put yourself in their shoes.
⭐Call out unequal behaviour
⭐Go where u r celebrated not where u r tolerated.
⭐ Work together in solidarity & unity.
We just had a brilliant conversation at our first #IWD2022 event about how young women feel about their role in the world compared to men. Here is some reading that may support the parents amongst us
While talking about work and gender on #IWD22 I admit to finding undermining behaviour by women towards women at times difficult, including as a daughter and mum of 3 girls where it all starts. Highly recommended for all with teen girls @lorrainecandy @hcwomenleaders @AReed57
So many brilliant women who work for @BEHMHTNHS

“We have a lot to wage through as women” @TracieJolliff - bias, childbearing, less pay, glass ceiling/cliff, more domestic duties - start by loving yourself, find allies, go into nature, family and friends, dancing! Great gems of wisdom @hcwomenleaders #BreakingTheBias #IWD2022
