creators supporting creators, adding value, yield and marketing in each others creator vault indexes. its what we do on @pantheonvaults 🤝👊😎
I really believe something special is happening in SocialFi and creator coins.
@RecallPudgy (base:0x1f16e03c1a5908818f47f6ee7bb16690b40d0671), @Mr_Lightspeed (base:0xf0cb96a4011a0a6f73d100c7080bf8020d10f87a), and @8bitkidcreator ($8bitkid) deposited tokens into my Pantheon Vault this week.
If you don't know what this means, basically:
1. We all have our audiences.
2. If you like what we all create, you stake tokens into the Vault, and get an APR in our tokens (currently 14k%!). You're not paying us directly, and your coins remain yours. You can stop this support anytime.
3. This support drives the value of our tokens, and anyone who wants to get exposure to our audiences just deposits into the Vault. See what @bigwil is doing for an extreme positive example.
We're building an economy where like-minded creators push each other forward. No extraction.
The "Social" in "SocialFi" stays the same. @pantheonvaults is solving the "Fi".

A month ago, I wrote that perps can't come back as a narrative on product alone.
@HyperliquidX ($HYPE) can keep winning without perps ever being a narrative again. It doesn't need it.
This week, two of the ways I predicted showed up:
#1 was "permission without reskins": regulated access, with TradFi bringing its own customers. Yesterday the NYSE's owner (ICE) said it'll use Hyperliquid as the infrastructure for US perps across crypto, equities, commodities, and FX, pending regulators.
#2 was RWAs as fuel, which came along in the same announcement.
I also said the battle would be "custodial vs. non-custodial". Binance showed why just yesterday as well.
The pie is getting bigger, and now the question is who holds the keys.
Honestly, just go and read the entire article along with my thesis for 2027 👇
It's always more fun to dunk on the bigger guy, buuuuut.
The fact that Binance can take a $5B hit, almost 10 times FTX's, while being the biggest name in the industry, and not have crypto absolutely crumble, tells you something.
This is the biggest hack in history, and its not even close to the greatest panic I've seen.
Binance is a pillar of crypto for a reason.
Honestly, the perps game is over until someone comes up with a DISTINCTIVE model that pulls a different user base.
Until then, it's $HYPE only.
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and trade[XYZ] have announced their plan to use Hyperliquid as the infrastructure layer to deploy perpetual futures markets for US traders across crypto, equities, commodities, foreign exchange, and other real-world assets, subject to regulatory approvals. ICE operates NYSE and some of the largest exchanges and clearing houses globally.
In this structure:
+ Hyperliquid serves as the underlying technology infrastructure via HIP-3*
+ trade[XYZ] designs and implements the markets
+ ICE operates the regulated market and clearing structure
Existing trade[XYZ] HIP-3 markets will remain unchanged.
Hyperliquid is a neutral infrastructure layer with the goal of supporting large parts of the financial system. As with HIP-3, HIP-3* deployers are independent operators who use Hyperliquid as the onchain infrastructure layer for their own markets, while retaining control and responsibility over their deployment.
a16z dropping crypto is an unequivocal sign of us being past the bottom.
There's no universe in which this isn't bullish.

I pay tons of attention to economic experiments in crypto.
I really believe we have barely scratched the surface of what's possible with decentralized setups and novel tokenomics. Many great inventions will come from this, especially around social movements.
$RECALL is one such novel experiment.
In a few words:
- Abstract Chain investors and users seek compensation for being led to expect an $ABS airdrop that never happened
- The company behind Abstract Chain still profits from brands like @pudgypenguins
- The affected parties launch $RECALL, a token paired with tokenized Walmart stock $WMT
- As the token runs, the project accumulates WMT, concentrating power in their hands
Repeat until Walmart notices and pulls Pudgy Penguins off the shelves.
I’ve said for years that, as crypto matures, MANY protocols will go to zero. This year has proven it.
Meanwhile, memes have always been useful for coordination. This attempts to give that coordination a concrete form in the name of justice.
Now, as a disclaimer, I can't know whether this will work, whether pressuring Walmart will directly cause reparations to parties affected by Abstract's extraction, or whether the token will find sufficient people rallying behind it. But I respect the experiment.
These setups are the part of crypto I find most interesting:
Exploiting crypto's inherent financial aspects in the name of social coordination.
Possibly the wrongest thing I'll ever post but my bet is that nothing really happens with the PHP thing.

Every once in a while, there's this bittersweet moment in Web3 where:
1. Big companies are hiring, but no one seems to be getting hired
2. Names that were worth billions just a few years before suddenly cease to exist
3. Layoffs start becoming an everyday thing
4. Prices move wildly on bad news, but normalize just as quickly
5. No one seems to know exactly what to build
As someone who's been in the industry for as long as it's been one (ICO era alumni, IYKYK!), this is typically where things start to get better.
Shoutout to everyone who made it through yet another cycle!
Last Token 2049, at the famous Raffles Hotel in Singapore, I joined a panel to discuss how to adapt in a world of 1000 blockchains.
There was an audible gasp and an uncomfortable, generalized chuckle when I said what everyone was thinking out loud.
"Next year, a lot of you will probably not be here, and that's ok."
This week, we started to see the blockchains (plural!) bubble burst.
It's a painful but necessary reminder that the world doesn't care how cool or well-designed your idea is, only whether it solves a problem. Don't grave dance, but recognize that we as an industry need to focus on utility first.
Infrastructure. From the Latin Infra- (Prefix): underneath, and Structura (building, adjustment) and struere (to build).
guy whose company depends on the price of $ETH says price of ETH will skyrocket
(still bullish on ETH btw)
For the last two months I've been obsessively looking into new innovations in crypto.
Nothing seemed too interesting until I ran into @pantheonvaults.
Took a bit to get it. But, as soon as I did, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.
There's immense potential in SocialFi, and it has so far been mostly untapped. Pantheon is the first original approach to tackling the problem of how to turn crypto's unlimited potential into something that empowers creators.
I'll be writing more about the project. I'll also be helping them in every way I can.
Meanwhile, you can get a massive edge by joining the Vault early on.
The ticker is $WORD.

There's a new way of doing SocialFi in town. HMU if you want to be a part of it.
$NICK APR is currently 17000%. 😳🏛️
The @Nick_Researcher vault was seeded with 285M tokens.
Only 3 vault stakers so far, which creates one of our favourite dynamics in Pantheon:
Early conviction gets paid.
Fewer stakers sharing the initial reward pool = outsized early yield. As the network grows, the economics shift.
