Flashman is the best. I've read them all 3 times. It's best to read them in publication order
Do yourself a favor and read a Flashman book by George MacDonald Fraser. Among the finest (funniest, dirtiest) historical novels ever written.

Attic was the dialect of Athens, and it's the Ancient Greek most courses teach first. The Attic Reading Room on Kevilex goes from beginner works like Moss's A First Greek Reader to easy authentic texts like Xenophon's Anabasis. kevilex.com/library/attic

Pulled into the driveway and my sons, 5 and 10, came running out to see the antlers and meat. My older boy is off to his first piano lesson. He asked me to wait until he’s home to clean my rifle. I’m not claiming to be the world’s best dad but I’ve got a few things right.

Communist governments killed nearly 100 million of their own people in the 20th century. In 1997 a team of European historians attempted to add up the tragic deaths. The Black Book of Communism. Roughly 65 million in China. About 20 million in the Soviet Union. Around 2 million each in Cambodia and North Korea. A million in Vietnam. A million more in Eastern Europe. Then Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Cuba and beyond. The numbers are too big to wrap your head around, but every one of these 100 million was a real person. Someone starved in a famine their government caused and then covered up. Someone worked to death in a labor camp. Someone shot in a basement. Most of them were not killed in war. They were killed in peacetime, by their own governments.

so nice to be back to the standard way of numbering the number with respect to before and after of the earth’s rotation in relation to visibility of the sun that god intended us to use. i.e., i’m an aristotelian who prefers standard time

Lotta people out there going through stuff that few or none know about. Some are alone and others lonely among people who don't know. Right now some of your mutuals need prayers. Seriously.

This year has been filled with interesting diagnoses. Started the year with double pneumonia. Then in the summer, I was diagnosed with TB. Now, I have been diagnosed with Chronic Pulmonary Aspergillosis and Acute Pulmonary Aspergillosis. Apparently, this is actually more serious than TB. I have started treatment today. Prayers appreciated! :)
