🚨🚨🚨We keep seeing hearings and proposed restrictions pop up in different States with little time to organize.
I feel we need to build a strong advocacy network BEFORE the next hearing, regardless of the State. I know we have some badass fighters out there, so please let me know so I can add you to this list!

CALL — Make Calls during public hearings
ATTEND — Show up in person
EMAIL — Contact officials
PHONE — Call officials before hearings/votes
WRITE — Submit public comments/testimony
SHARE — Spread urgent action alerts
Also, Creative Tasks: Able to create flyers with info on bans and/or upcoming hearings

The goal is simple: when a hearing is announced, we already know how many people are prepared to participate through the official process.

I’m sorry you lost your son. That still doesn’t mean your grief should determine what every other adult is allowed to use. Warn people about risks, regulate purity and labeling, punish fraud. Fine. But a personal tragedy is not a blank check to ban something that other people use responsibly to manage pain.

Entire anti-opioid policy and force-tapering of stable pain patients was built using Buprenorphine and Suboxone as the "opioid crisis" solution.
How many pain patients have been force-tapered since 2016 CDC Guidelines were implemented. How many pain suicides. How many forced onto ineffective meds and left to suffer? How many pain overdoses on illicits?

Buprenorphine was introduced in the 1970's and failed miserably in pain RCT's. It's no better now - it certainly didn't "improve" after 50yrs on the shelf - the push to force pain pts off full agonist opioids and onto Bupe and Subs is politically and profit driven.

Why is kratom still legal? Because y’all keep confusing KRATOM LEAF with concentrated 7OH. They are NOT the same product. Even the FDA has made this distinction.
7OH occurs naturally in kratom leaf in tiny amounts. The problem everyone is talking about right now is highly concentrated and enhanced 7OH products being sold as tablets, gummies, shots, and other products. THAT is what federal agencies are targeting, not natural kratom leaf.
And yes, I support getting these high concentration 7OH products off the market. But stop using 7OH as an excuse to demonize and ban the natural plant.
Kratom leaf has been used in Southeast Asia for centuries. People in America use plain natural kratom leaf for all kinds of reasons, including chronic pain, recovery, and other personal reasons. That does NOT mean every person using kratom is an addict.
And before blaming kratom for a death, wait for the actual toxicology and cause of death. Was fentanyl present? Alcohol? Prescription drugs? Other substances? Concentrated 7OH? Those details MATTER.
Laura Ingraham and everyone else calling for bans, PLEASE actually research what you are talking about before demanding lawmakers ban a plant. Even the FDA says its current action on concentrated 7OH is not focused on natural kratom leaf.
Kratom leaf and concentrated 7OH are not interchangeable terms. Stop treating them like they are.
Regulate the plant. Test it. Label it. Keep it 21+. ENFORCEMENT IS KEY. And get these dangerous concentrated 7OH products off the shelves.
But stop trying to ban a plant because people keep confusing it with a completely different high concentration product.

Before demanding new bans, do you even understand precursor and analog laws or are we just skipping straight past the law and the facts?

Once again, you do not hear the media contrasting facts between kratom deaths and cigarette smoking deaths.
The media ignores statistics like the one below when demonizing kratom.
Alcohol gets a free pass and sold in every gas station.
And even though it's responsible for far more deaths than any linked to kratom, (MANY of them college kids ) it remains on the shelves.
It's insane how easy it is for the media to misinform the public by hammering headlines that are nothing more than kratom fear porn into their heads. And they easily put a veil over their eyes with true facts like this one.
US alcohol-induced deaths (alcohol as underlying cause) totaled about 429,000 from 2015-2024. CDC estimates put deaths from excessive alcohol use at roughly 178,000 per year recently, or well over 1.5 million across 11 years—orders of magnitude above the 233 kratom-associated deaths reported in a similar period.

It is illegal to sell under 21 in MS with some of the strongest regulations.
21 year olds can read. I read about it before I started use from the peer reviewed literature, not vendors or social media.
Anyone who bothers to Google it gets results unreasonably biased against use.

I read her argument thoroughly and spent days crafting a comprehensive response addressing her claims point by point, but I was asked to substantially shorten this piece. 🚨BREAKING: Two people have been arrested on drug charges following a search warrant at an Oxford, Mississippi, store in connection with the deaths of two University of Mississippi students.
Authorities executed the warrant as part of the ongoing investigation into the students’ deaths.
🔥🔥🔥🔥Attention Advocates: There is a MAJOR development in Michigan. There is still a statewide total-ban bill alive in the Senate, but Michigan now also has a newly introduced regulatory alternative, SB 1181, that would preserve legal access to qualifying kratom products while restricting high-7-OH and synthetically altered products.
This was introduced by Sen. John Cherry on September 22 and referred to the Senate Committee on Regulatory Affairs. Rather than banning ordinary kratom, it creates a Kratom Consumer Protection Act regulatory structure.
