Robert Dunn lost his battle with cancer this morning. He loved writing and loved the community of writers he has come to know on Twitter. Robert will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

My characters, mostly powerful women, are from a breed of humanity that isn't the norm and have mental prowess & abilities. They are related to an ancient bloodline. They are long-lived & reach for the stars. I enjoy writing about their lives.

In 2021 Branson, MO is roiled in debates about race, with a local lawmaker under fire for trying to ban the 1619 project and critical race theory. In 1928 Branson area hosted one of the most radical thinkers in America, the Rev. Howard Thurman, at YMCA camp for college students.

In June 1928, a 28-year-old pastor named Howard Thurman spoke at the YMCA camp near Branson, Missouri. That fall he would return to his alma mater Morehouse College as a professor of religion.

To tell the story of creatures from the ancient past that have not gotten the recognition they deserve was one of the main reasons for starting Prehistoric Magazine back in 2016. Take #Tyrannotitan for example, a massive predatory dinosaur that lived 125 to 100 mya. #dinosaurs

There is a special kind of time experienced only on Sunday nights in hospitals. Still fighting the fight.

Just got out of chemo and tried to catch up on bill paying. Spent 45 min on bad connection to @Chase outsourced customer svc and had to contend with agent’s screaming chicken. A terrible experience all around.

Hey @TheLucyLeitner I just read your post about Dave Barnett at Necro. He was a good guy and loved his Horror. I had 3 books with him and just signed the contract for the 4th. I was always glad to work with him. He leaves a hole in the genre.

I have been slow or all together absent on social media and many other interactions. Chemo is started and I have every confidence of being more active again soon. If you need me just reach out directly.

Dave? No. We just talked a couple weeks ago. Never got to meet face to face. Something I so regret.

Gutted by the passing of Dave Barnett of Necro Publications. He was one of the first people I ever interacted with in this business, and he was a friend in all the decades since. Rest easy, brother. See you again after all this.

Retweeting this because someone did decide not to work with me after seeing it. While I respect their right to make that choice, I am actively refusing to let this fear coming to life silence me. I know I'm a talented editor, in part because of my autism. I'm gonna be me.
