XENONnT pushes the limits! We achieved a new purity standard, reducing radon activity to a billion times less than radioactivity naturally present in the human body. 🤯 Details: physics.aps.org/articles/v18…
The paper: Phys. Rev. X 15, 031079

The XENON community stands with @Elena_Aprile and her family in remembering Karl-Ludwig Giboni, technical manager of XENON10 and XENON100. His passing leaves a void in all who knew him. His ingenious contributions shaped the development of dual-phase xenon TPCs for dark matter😢
XENONnT is the first experiment to measure nuclear recoils from solar neutrinos
Today, July 10, at the #IDM2024 in L’Aquila (IT), Fei Gao, from Tsingua Universitiy, reported this result: we can say that XENONnT enters into the so-called “neutrino fog”.This is a great achievement!
Marco Selvi, researcher at INFN Bologna, presented a talk at #IDM2024 in L'Aquila on "XENONnT Neutron Veto". The Gd-loaded water Cherenkov detector tags neutrons from materials and suppresses the most important backgrounds for WIMP search.
Proud!🌌

Keixin Liu, PhD at Tsinghua University, presented a talk at #IDM2024 in L'Aquila on Accidental Coincidence Background in XENONnT: accidental coincidence events represent the largest background to nuclear recoil searches at low energies.
Proud! 🌌🚀

We are excited to announce that Henning Schulze Eißing, @uni_muenster PhD, presented a talk at #IDM2024 in L'Aquila about the WIMP Dark Matter searches with XENONnT: competitive sensitivity to WIMP and other dark matter candidates.
We are proud! 🌟🌌

We're excited to share that @ApCimental, a Ph.D. student from the @UZH_Science, showcased her work at #Neutrino2024 in Milan on the search for the two-neutrino electron capture with positron emission (2νECB+) in Xe-124 using the #XENONnT detector.🌟

@ApCimental7 The unprecedentedly low background levels of XENONnT enable a range of rare event searches beyond Dark Matter. Paloma's contribution showcases the analysis strategy and the challenges faced in detecting this rare second-order weak decay process.
We are proud!
We're thrilled by Ricardo Peres, Ph.D. student from @UZH_Science, who showcased his work at #Neutrino2024 in Milan on the real-time detection of supernova neutrinos using the XENONnT detector. 🌟

We're excited to announce that Cecilia Ferrari, a Ph.D. student from GSSI/LNGS, showcased her work during #Neutrino2024 in Milan on measuring the 214Pb branching ratios to ground state using the XENONnT detector. 🌟

We're thrilled to share that Carlo Fuselli, a Ph.D. student from Nikhef and the University of Amsterdam, showcased his work at #Neutrino2024 in Milan on measuring the first-forbidden non-unique β-decay energy spectrum of 214-Bi to 214-Po. 🌟

The XENONnT experiment also demonstrates a remarkable sensitivity to rare event searches other than WIMPs, including neutrino physics.
At #Neutrino2024 in Milan our presentations highlight the incredible work being done by our young scientists.
