After having my account hacked, locked out and unable to find any support from @X , it's time to start over.
The focus: losing 8k followers matters little if I'm not willing to help just one person.
Let's get sober! #recoveryposse
The clocks changed. Complaining about it won’t move them back. It will only cost you the peace you already have.
My favorite day off is a Sunday when I know I'm off Monday as well. #3dayweekend
I categorize all first encounters the same: they are the enemy.
Not in the ordinary sense.
If this were my enemy, what would I need to do—and how would I need to act—to shift them from combatant to ally?
It removes expectation and assumption.
Ending a night of trick-or-treating with a house full of people, brought on a sense of fulfillment and happiness.
The children splitting up candy on the floor, laughter, stories being told- And all sober.
This is why I love sobriety. To become useful again.

Which is great. Do you have suggestion for building your own circle if you dont get on at AA?
Last 4 nights I've shot awake at 0130 hours. Normally I'm up at 3.
Decided to take a melatonin last night. First time in years.
I feel like absolute dog-shit this morning. Won’t be doing that again.
scaled in at 189lbs this morning. Down 71lbs.
Same weight I was when i checked into the Salvation Army's ARC on 12/15/14, at the end of a 2 year run on M3th.
This is a far healthier 189#

Just a friendly reminder:
Cheering for another person’s success will not ruin yours.

I had enough
"knowledge" about alcoholism to get sober after the first week.
But it took something that I didn't have - teachability and surrender - to actually stay sober.
I grew up dog eat dog and you had to be "right" to win. Neither of those
helped me stay sober.
I can swear a solemn oath that this time will be different. But unless I do things differently, I'll be right back to square one in short order.
Clean & sober 12/15/14
I could take a drink right now and it would almost certainly take me right where i need to be.
This was the hurdle I had to overcome when I was new. I had to find a sufficient enough substitute to the drink and drug.
I found it in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Take a mtg into the same detox center long enough & you end up seeing a lot of returning patients.
Their stories are always the same - They left detox thinking that the knowledge they had gained about themselves would be enough.
It rarely is.
A service commitment is my insurance, my "no matter what" policy.
Do I want to go? Not really. Been up since 0130 hours. I'm beat.
But no matter what, I don't pick up. & no matter what, we show up.
Who's ready to go love on some drunks?! It's Friday night Detox!
