Yorùbá "Ẹ kú/A kú" Greetings...
In the beginning, the people called Yorùbá today used to call themselves Ọmọ ilẹ̀ káárọ̀ o jíire (Children of the land where they greet you “Good Morning, Hope you woke up well”).
Káárọ̀ is a diminutive of Kú-àárọ̀ (Good morning). For this reason, the Yorùbá are also called The Akú from their salutations.

For Indigenous peoples, land is not just a place to live. It is their history, identity, heritage and connection to their ancestors.
Their struggle to protect ancestral lands and water raises a deeper question: who pays the price when economic interests take priority over the rights of the people who have lived on that land for generations?
The geopolitical lesson: control over land and resources is also a struggle over identity, survival and the right of a people to determine their own future.

Poland disappeared from the map, not because its people ceased to exist, but because powerful neighbours decided to divide its land.
Between 1772 and 1795, Russia, Prussia and Austria partitioned Poland until it lost its independence. Internal political weaknesses made the country vulnerable, while the ambitions of its neighbours sealed its fate.
Poland’s experience shows that a nation’s survival depends on more than its history or identity. It also depends on strong institutions, political unity and the ability to defend its sovereignty.
The geopolitical lesson: when a state becomes too weak to protect itself, other powers may decide its future for it.

It’s dicey.
We have people who fled the north and currently living in Lagos and they are the chief activist in the agenda to implement sharia law in Yorubaland.
They preach the same madness that destabilised the north in Yorubaland.
We have many examples here.
Replying to @AKakanfo
I already plan to relocate to Yoruba land if Nigeria ever divides o😂. Please you guys must keep it clean from that contamination.

Sheikh Gumi is a medical doctor, a Nigerian army captain and a PhD holder yet he is known for his extremist views in Nigeria.
Al-Zawahiri the second in command to Osama Bin Laden and the second Emir of Al Qaeda graduated from Cairo University with a degree in medicine and a master's degree in surgery and was a surgeon by profession.
Osama Bin Laden did summer high school sessions at Oxford University and was a 300 level student of economics before joining the Mujahideens in Afghanistan.
The leaders and founders of this Islamist terror organizations were highly educated men and women with an IQ above average.
A medical doctor with an extremist ideology is common in the Arab world because many founders of this terror organizations were academics and medical professionals.

In Geopolitics, this is called soft power.
This is the power Yoruba civilisation have given Nigeria, West Africa and Africa in order to influence the world.
Before Chinese technology permeated Africa, Jet Lee, Jackie chan and Bruce Lee already won the souls of millions.
Before American power became omnipresent, Commando and James Bond already won hearts and souls of millions.
Yoruba civilisation is the soul of Africa, a soft power second to none!
Even if it's just a story, learn the lesson, because similar things are happening even within families.
From The 61 year old man you see in this photo just lost his life in a ghastly car accident along Ibeju—Eleko expressway, Lagos.
His name is Mr. Salisu Oluwaferanmi Dusonye.
An abroad based retired College Cricket coach.
He was with 3 of his retiree friends who came back to Nigeria from the UK to inspect the almost 2 hectares of land they collectively bought from a real estate company in Ibeju-Lekki with their entire life savings.
2 hectares of land they were to later discover were committed land acquired by the Lagos state government and STRICTLY reserved for public infrastructure, airports, industrial facilities and future public schemes.
A popular Lekki 'big girl' realtor with big nyash and figure 8 convinced these senior citizens to spend almost £72,000 to acquire these lands in 2023 promising them that, due to its proximity to the Dangote refinery, Lekki free trade zone and Ibeju-Lekki sea port, the value of the land would quadruple in 3 years or less.
They decided to travel back home together some days ago with a surveyor and a team of lawyers to see their 'retirement investment'.
Before today, they had sent the land documents and coordinates via their legal attorney to ministry of lands in Alausa for search and confirmation.
Full feedback didn't return until this morning while all 4 elders were at the site of their property which they had already started fencing.
They were informed that:
No private individual could build or use any land around that area because it was committed acquisition land!!!!
No private individual could resell that land because it belonged to the government!!!
In summary, they had just thrown away £72,000 and the additional N600,000 they were currently spending on labour and cement to fence off the area was also pointless!!!
One of the elderly friends, a Mr. Godwin Adegwu instantly had a heart attack on the site there and slipped unconscious.
Mr. Dusonye who was the spokesperson of the friends and the primary purchaser of the land started calling the 'Lekki big girl' realtor who marketed and sold the land to him and his friends 3 years ago.
She initially pretended like she didn't know the man, and when he mentioned the name of her company and described the nature of their transaction, spelling out her full name, she switched to telling the man to send an email to the company, that she doesn't own the company— and when the man kept insisting that she had tricked him into making a bad investment because of her commission and selfish interest, do you know what this lady said?
She asked the man why he didn't do proper investigation before buying the land, and pointed that real estate was a 50/50 gamble and a matter of luck and did he expect that she came to Lagos to count bridges?
She summed up her defense with stating that her job was advertising lands and connecting interested buyers to the company— and NOT giving guarantees on the land being bought. That did he expect her not to sell land and collect her commission?
With this she ended the call and blocked the man.
The poor old man had the call on loudspeaker so his other elderly friends, the surveyors and their respective solicitors and attorneys could hear all she said.
In the process of scrambling into their cars to carry their unconscious colleague to a hospital, both cars were involved in an accident and all the 4 friends and one of their lawyers died at the spot.
Mr. Salisu's 34 year old son who was behind the wheel in the car with the fatalities was mangled beyond recognition.
All 5 occupants of the Honda Sedan car the other lawyers and surveyors rode survived with few scratches, 1 or 2 broken collar bones and sprained wrists.
It was Barrister Sharafa who called me just now breathing heavily:
'Ivan Eagle Lawson.... I know you have a platform. Please warn all the faithful fans because I don't think the government is interested in helping matters. Especially those based in Lagos and Abuja!

From the horse's mouth.
Some people will still not understand.
Leave Ibo women for Ibo men to manage, they know how to handle them.
Unless you are a Yoruba man with motor garage craze of Agberos you should never marry an Ibo woman. But the Ibo women are smart, they don't go for our Agberos but the refined Ọmọlúàbís who they can easily dominate by unleashing their aggressive powers on him, his family and friends.
Most of our Yoruba men. don't have even the faintest idea of Ibo cultures yet they meet Ibo women in club houses or in Churches, get infatuated and boom they are dragged by their noses to marriage.
Yoruba MEN CAN NEVER survive the dominant effect of the Ibo women unless such men are scatterheads Agberos. I haven't seen ANY YORUBA MAN who has survived it. Please tell me the ones you know who survived the dominance effect.
The Ibo woman in marriage thinks first, foremost and always about herself and her Ibo family and what they can get in the marriage.
It is a BUSINESS TRANSACTION for them in which they MUST always be greater beneficiaries
Imagine that in Ibo culture if you haven't paid the bride price on a woman and you impregnated her in courtship, of she gets that child it is never your own and can actually be given to either the woman's father or another man who pays the dowry.
But the story changed with Adaobi Alagwu who claimed in a celebrated case that Billionaire Mr. Ayeni impregnated her. Even when Mr. Ayeni disputed the said pregnancy and hadn't dared to think of marrying her or paying dowry, Adaobi Alagwu already had the child and gave the child AYENI'S surname.
Isn't that funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Money changes the rules in Ibo culture.
Listen and learn, my people!!!!

We have a lot of ISIS sympathizers in Yorubaland. Ilorin, Ibadan, Iwo, Northern Ondo state, Kishi and Iseyin is where many of this cells are actively working and recruiting.
Three years ago they started proselytising on X before we ideologically exposed them on this platform and they disappeared.
They use five methods to recruit young Yoruba Muslims;
-They will use terms like Islamophobia to create a persecution complex and lure unsuspecting elements.
-Palestinianism: They will use Palestine case as a moral framework to tell young Yorubas that Yoruba Christians are their enemies because of USA and Israel.
-They advocate for sharia law as their human right in Yorubaland and anybody who is against it is an enemy of the ummah in a supposedly secular country like Nigeria.
-They give young Yorubas money in order to buy their conscience.
-They award scholarships to go and study in the Arab countries.
They are mostly active in our campuses. Most of the radicalized elements became radicalized at UNILORIN, OAU and UI.
We are in deep trouble than we think.

It is quite shameful, and we have all now seen that he does not deserve our support. We will participate massively in the coming elections. We must convince our children, who seem indifferent to the election, to come out and vote. As they vote for Hon. It is important to understand that:
The Yoruba style of passing down knowledge is VERY DIFFICULT for the average westerner to understand, myself included, although I’ve gotten better, lol.
Our mentality is that if we are not taught the most detailed version of some ceremony, ritual, message, song, medicine, etc, from the beginning, then it’s incomplete, and therefore won’t function how it should, or is wrong.
But, Yorubas teach everything in pieces and in layers. This in no way means that what you’ve been taught won’t work, or is somehow not effective.
The Ase of your elder, who does know all the details, and who passed this knowledge onto you, will help insure that what you’re doing is effective, despite you not knowing the complete details. This is called Iba and Ase!
Even songs are taught in layers, not just rituals and ceremonies.
Your elders’ Ase, and those who came before him or her, will insure that what they’ve taught you will be effective.
This is why Iba and Ase is so important.
That’s why learning ceremonies, rituals, etc from books, videos, audios, alone, will not give you any of this Ase. There’s no way around it, everyone needs an elder!
Everyone, please trust the process and have patience with it. You’ll see the benefits and blessings of the process later. For sure!

They Silenced the Man Who Preached Peace: Who Killed Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka?
Yesterday, on the evening of Monday, October 26, 2026, two gunmen on a motorcycle stopped at the gate of Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Masussuka's home in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. They opened fire. Within minutes, one of Northern Nigeria's most talked-about Islamic voices was dead, and so was his friend, Adamu Abubakar.
This was not a random robbery. It was a targeted killing at a man's doorstep.
A preacher who refused to conform
Masussuka was controversial, and he knew it. He was widely associated with the Qur'aniyyun movement, which argues for returning to the Qur'an as the primary source of faith. That position put him at odds with powerful clerical establishments, Salafi and Sufi alike. His critics called his teachings deviant. His followers called him courageous.
Whatever you think of his theology, he fought with words, and he deserved to be answered with words.
The warnings were public.
This death did not come out of nowhere. Earlier this year, the Katsina State Government summoned Masussuka before a panel of Ulama over complaints about his preaching. In the same statement, the government acknowledged his counter-complaint that members of Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'a, the Izala movement, had insulted him and threatened to attack him. The Emir of Katsina convened a meeting and warned all sides against provocative sermons. The government itself admitted the tension continued.
Amnesty International says he lived under threats and intimidation his entire life.
So the question is not whether he was in danger. The state knew he was in danger. The question is what anyone did about it.
He died preparing for peace
When he was killed, Masussuka was preparing for a peace and unity gathering planned for October 31. A man organising a peace event was shot at his gate. Let that sink in.
We do not yet know who pulled the trigger or who sent them. The police say they are investigating. That is not enough. We demand that:
-The investigation examine every documented threat made against him, including those he reported to the state government.
-The findings be made public, whoever they implicate.
-The Katsina State Government explain what protection, if any, followed his complaint.
The bigger danger
Northern Nigeria has seen this pattern before. Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam was gunned down in a Kano mosque in 2007. When theological disagreement turns into bullets, no scholar of any school is safe, and every Nigerian loses the right to think differently.
The answer to a sermon must never be a gun. Justice for Sheikh Masussuka.
Can Arewa be saved? Can Arewa ever know peace?
Izala sect is the root of many evil in Northern Nigeria.
