With cloud apps and notetaking platforms increasingly becoming targets for hackers, I wanted something better.
So I built my own.
A simple productivity tool for managing tasks, projects, daily routines and reminders, designed to keep everything local, locked and encrypted.
No unnecessary cloud dependency. No complicated workflows. Just your data, your device, and a tool that helps you stay organised.
Sometimes, the best alternative is to build your own..
That's what the New afternic LTO looks like -
I think it's good, it keeps the one month LTO abusers out..
Interesting -
A single encoder model excelling in both classification and retrieval tasks, achieving state-of-the-art performance with a native 32K context.

Here's what happens when you add a domain to Afternic these days.
You add the domain, it asks you to verify ownership, you do it, and everything looks good. Great! Now you can sit back and wait for it to show up..
But wait…
A few hours later, you find the same domain sitting in the Resolution Center, asking for ownership verification again..AGAIN!!
Well, the nameservers are already set up, so you go ahead and do what it asks. The verification process keeps spinning for a while, eventually confirms ownership, and you think, okay, that should do it..
Except the domain is still showing as unlisted in the Resolution Center.
At this point, the only workaround seems to be deleting the domain, adding it again, and hoping it magically appears under Listed Domains this time..but sometimes there is round two..
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Who knows?
Honestly, I sometimes wonder if Afternic's developers actually use their own platform. It's hard to understand how something as basic as adding and listing a domain can be this frustrating. 🙃
Looks like the GD devs left debug="true" enabled on the live site.
it says "we're experiencing 3 active issues: PHP security patching for hosting, SSL certificate warnings, and "Yikes!" email login errors. For the latest updates and instructions"
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

just bought clipster.com domain for $100K.
It took us 13 months of back and forth.
Right when i was about to give up, the deal went through.
We’re growing fast and I’d rather own the domain now than pay millions later.
The real point to think is not that it sold for 2M, Pricing it 2M and sticking to that price tag is the real case study.
TradingCards.com just sold for $2M!
The premium domain name market is one of the rare asset classes that is recession-proof.
As each one comes off the market, there is less supply of memorable and category-defining words that brands can leverage.

This video has genuinely shattered me.💔
How can anyone raise their hands against a young girl who is simply trying to make her voice heard? The cruelty is beyond comprehension. She deserves protection, dignity, and compassion. NOT THIS NIGHTMARE.
What a disgrace.

#India: We are concerned by reports of mass detentions of demonstrators, protest leaders, members of civil society organisations, lawyers and journalists, before and during today’s large-scale demonstrations in Delhi.
We call on the authorities to ensure that the right to peaceful assembly is fully respected and fulfilled.

Dear Prime Minister Ambani,
Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India.
Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete?
There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.
Thank you 🙏
