Having worked in one of the foremost advertising agencies in Nigeria and managed one of the biggest accounts in West Africa, I can tell for free that the marketing communications sector is experiencing one of its most defining moments — a period of significant transformation, marked by shifting consumer behaviours, rapid technological advancement, evolving media landscapes, and new expectations around creativity, relevance, and impact. So, how much value does marketing communications really create? What has the industry achieved, where are its biggest wins, and how significant is its contribution to the wider economy? This publication explores those questions- thebbbuzz.co.uk/?p=915

MY VISIT TO THE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA Today, I honoured the invitation of the newly inaugurated President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Dr. Eric Okoye, and other former Presidents of the Association to attend his inauguration ceremony at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos. On the sidelines of the event, I interacted with the new President and members of MAN and reiterated the enormous potential of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector. With the right government policies, an enabling business environment, and stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors, Nigeria can significantly increase the contribution of manufacturing to our GDP. Manufacturing currently contributes about 7.5% of Nigeria’s GDP, compared with about 14% in Egypt, 15% in Morocco, 25% in Vietnam, 19% in Indonesia, and 20% in Bangladesh We must therefore deliberately move from a consumption-driven economy to a productive economy, one that produces, creates jobs, adds value and competes successfully in the global market. A stronger manufacturing sector will expand employment opportunities, strengthen our productive capacity, reduce our dependence on imports, increase exports, and improve the standard of living of our people. I congratulate the new President and his team and wish them a successful and productive tenure. I look forward to continued engagement with the manufacturing sector as we work towards building a more productive and prosperous Nigeria. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

A lot of politicians are going to travel out of the country anytime from March 2027, you know why? APC would have lost the presidential election and they know what that means.

To get Peter Obi into Aso Rock in 2027, We MUST Focus on persuadable voters, not just existing supporters. Supporters can hold town halls, debates, policy discussions and lawful rallies where voters can evaluate Obi's record and proposals alongside those of other candidates.

Dem think say we dey joke!
I have watched this clip for the 5th time since someone retweeted it to my timeline. This video simply explains why you never see APC supporters, senators, or governors talk about PVC. They believe anyone working for INEC is indirectly working for them. We have bad news for them: 2023 was a mistake of negligence. 2027 will be different…

Paid Reach requires skill. It’s not enough to say: “We reached X million people.” You should be asking your marketing team: What is the CPM (Cost per mille vs relevant benchmarks)? What’s our CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)? What’s the LTV (Lifetime Value) of each customer? What’s our ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)? These are some true measures of digital media efficiency. Nkechi Blessing was obviously tired. She allowed Phyna to wear her out. This knockout image will be use as a meme for a long time and it will definitely affect her brand. Always fix your product (yourself) before you go into such brand exposure.
Replying to @businessvergeng
Product. Once the product is good, you've settled the basics. Fixing the rest without fixing the product is like inviting people to come see your broken 1990 colour television when they thought you had an LCD all along.
