One thing I’ve learned from talking with @YouTubeCreators over the years: the best work often comes from making something authentic, putting it out into the world and learning what connects with people. At #MIPCOM this week, that theme was part of a bigger conversation about what creators and traditional media can learn from each other. @DEADLINE spotlights some of the European creators right in the middle of it.

Live has always been about bringing @YouTubeCreators and their communities together to share moments as they happen. Our @YouTube teams keep finding creative new ways to deepen that connection and bring communities closer to the action. Great to see that creativity and innovation continue to move Live forward.

This is what it looks like to innovate in the @YouTube Era, where entertainment is built from the ground up by creators and the communities that fuel them. At our fifth annual #MadeOnYouTube, we announced 30+ new products and features to power the next wave of creativity and give you more control over how you watch. We’re introducing custom feeds you can tailor to your interests, moods and routines, new conversational tools to explore what you love, plus new ways to follow the stories you love and connect with creators. To bring fans closer to their favorite @YouTubeCreators, new features like interactive showdowns, co-streaming and live reactions are making streams even more fun. And we've renewed our partnership with @Coachella to remain the exclusive livestream home of music’s biggest festival. For creators, we’re investing across every stage of the creative journey. That includes AI-powered tools in YouTube Studio to handle the heavy lifting of production, new ways to test what resonates with their audience and expanded storytelling formats. We continue to build the most diversified revenue engine on the planet. That means backing creators with the largest ad revenue payouts in the industry, a share of our booming subscription business and a growing suite of fan funding products. And we're increasingly focused on a new engine of growth: fueling the brand-creator ecosystem. I’m grateful to all the creators who spent the day with us. And most importantly, a huge thank you to all our YouTube teams who work so hard every day to build these innovative products.

The "Get feedback" tool in Shorts has fully rolled out to all @YouTubeCreators in the US 🎉

Over the past month, we focused on giving creators more tools to build their businesses while improving the experience for viewers. Here’s a look at what shipped across @YouTube: 🛍️ @Amazon joined the YouTube Shopping affiliate program, letting eligible U.S. @YouTubeCreators tag Amazon products directly in their Shorts, videos and livestreams. 💡 A "get feedback" tool, giving creators tailored suggestions on Shorts drafts before going live. 🔒 Account lock on TV screens, letting you set a 4-digit PIN to keep your viewing history and recommendations private. 🎥 Live Practice Mode, offering creators a private space to rehearse before mobile streaming. 🌍 Premium Lite expansion to more countries and regions, including Bangladesh, the Netherlands and Portugal.

.@YouTube Shopping 🤝 @amazon Exciting news: Amazon is coming to our YouTube Shopping affiliate program! Eligible U.S. @YouTubeCreators will now be able to tag Amazon products in their Shorts, long-form videos and livestreams, making it even easier for viewers to buy the products they love from the creators they trust.

Several new updates shipped across @YouTube this month, from creative tools to new ways to watch: ⁉️ Ask YouTube conversational search on desktop for U.S. users. 🎬 Show, season and episode organization for @YouTubeCreators to make binging easier. 🖼️ Custom thumbnail tools, including custom uploads for Shorts and thumbnail generation inside Ask Studio. 🏈 @espn account linking with @YouTubeTV credentials, the first step in giving subscribers access to ESPN Unlimited content on the ESPN app, with even more to come this fall. 💎 Gifts and Jewels in 45 new countries, including Japan, India and the UK. 🎵 Playlist curation inside @Google Search's AI Mode, instantly saved to @youtubemusic. 🛝 AI creations inside the Recent Generations tab in the AI Playground. ♥️ Communities on desktop, featuring viewer quote posts, creator hearts and Community-only posts. 📺 Shorts tab on TV screens, making it easy to jump straight into short-form content from the living room. 🛍️ Shopping Affiliate Program in the UK, letting creators tag products in their videos. 🛡️ Supervised kid accounts in MENA and Türkiye, including a custom Shorts feed timer.

🚀 Custom thumbnails for Shorts are rolling out to all @YouTube Partner Program creators. It’s one of the most requested features from @YouTubeCreators and gives you even more control over how your Shorts are presented. Excited for this one!
