⚡️It's official! @DoorDash buys @Instacart !
In a huge approximately $17 billion move DoorDash just acquired the grocery platform Instacart.
Founded in 2012, Instacart is the industry leader in the grocery delivery.
Regarding the deal and dashers, DoorDash stated:
"More Ways to Earn for Dashers and Shoppers: More orders for local businesses can create more earning opportunities, with more choice over when and how they earn, whether that’s grocery orders on a quiet day, restaurant orders at peak times, or both."
And for Instacart shoppers:
"Shoppers Keep What They Love: Instacart Shoppers can keep the features they love, including the flexibility to choose how much they work and the information they need to decide which batches to accept, and choose whether to take on DoorDash orders or keep shopping only on Instacart."
Additionally, "DoorDash is expected to keep Instacart’s brand, enterprise technology products, and app. Until the transaction closes, DoorDash and Instacart will continue to operate as separate and independent companies."

🚨 MEALS NOW DRIVERS: An Important Update!
Following @Uber's announcement that it plans to acquire ezCater, @mealsnowfleet has sent drivers an update about what this means for the platform.
The good news? As of right now, nothing is changing.
According to Meals Now:
- Deliveries will continue to be scheduled as usual.
- Driver pay remains unaffected.
- ezCater continues operating as it does today, pending regulatory approval.
- Meals Now is investing in better technology, scheduling, and driver tools.
Personally, I'm optimistic about the potential here.
I've made some fantastic money delivering catering orders with Meals Now, and my biggest hope is that driver payouts remain competitive, opportunities continue growing, and Uber's involvement eventually creates even MORE catering opportunities.
Of course, we'll have to see how everything develops after the acquisition.

Silver dasher rewards just increased from 55 points to 60 points here in Pittsburgh. It was just 55 points last week, not a fan on the sudden change. Still should be relatively easy to hit?
