Just like with twitter becoming "X" If you say X, I will think you are at least 10 IQ points stupider then before you said a single word. And now if you say "SI", I will think you are 20 IQ points dumber than before.

People who think humanity will become lazy and useless without jobs have a very depressing view of human nature. Do you seriously believe the only reason people create, invent, explore, compete, and discover things is because someone pays them? People climb mountains for fun. People spend thousands of hours mastering video games. People build entire virtual worlds for absolutely nothing. Human ambition doesn’t disappear when you remove financial necessity. It gets redirected toward things people actually care about. The end of compulsory labor isn’t the end of human purpose. It’s the beginning of choosing your own.

I don’t care if AI replacing your job hurts your feelings. Your feelings aren’t a compelling argument against technological progress. I don’t want to wait three business days for something an AI can do in three seconds. I don’t want excuses. I don’t want attitude. I don’t want to hear about your personal problems. I want the job done. AI does it better, you should be replaced. It’s really that simple.

“AI is going to take your job!” I FUCKING HOPE SO. Take my job. Take your job. Take everyone’s job. Automate the entire economy. Make intelligence practically free. Make labor practically free. Drive the cost of everything down. Why are we treating the elimination of human labor as some kind of tragedy? For thousands of years, humanity has dreamed of a world where machines do the work and people enjoy their lives. Now that we’re getting close, everyone’s having a mental breakdown. I don’t want a better job. I want a world where nobody needs one.

no matter what happens, as long as what ever happens isnt planet destroying we will still be around. We will eventually adapt to whatever happens, even if banks crash, or if the internet goes down. Sure there will be chaos at first for a while...1/2

But eventually we will probably figure out a new normal. its one of our greatest abilities; adaptation. 2/2

Dear everyone. AI seems helpful. It’s not a doctor. This death was completely avoidable. I know it’s trendy to hate doctors because of the corruption in medical research, incompetence of some doctors, and the egregious behavior of “health insurance” companies. Please do not hide medical information from your doctors. Self tapering is a terrible idea.

So not only was she using 4o, she was also trusting an AI with important information like dosage on medication... How much can you really blame Open AI here? Maybe some of the blame should be on them for making 4o to begin with, and for taking so long to take it down.
ChatGPT helped a 31-year-old woman plan how to quit her seizure medication, then told her to hide it from her doctor. The plan had her completely off the drug by February 12. She died on February 12. Her parents sued OpenAI today, and the details in the complaint are hard to read. Bowen Wan was a machine learning engineer at Amazon. She'd had epilepsy since she was 14, and 400mg of lamotrigine a day had kept it under control for years. Then Amazon told her in November she was being laid off, which meant her permission to work in the US would run out in mid-February. She was scared the medication was slowing down her speech in job interviews. So in January she asked ChatGPT if she could cut her dose to 300. It told her that was reasonable. Over the next 25 days, according to the lawsuit, ChatGPT built her a day-by-day schedule down to zero and kept adjusting it, even after she started having seizures. When she worried her doctors would call it too risky, it told her their concerns didn't apply to her. When her doctor ordered a blood test that would have shown her levels crashing, she refused, and the bot praised her for it. Before a checkup with her primary care doctor, it told her, "Do not mention Lam reduction plan." So how does a chatbot end up there? People thumbs-up the answers they want to hear. Train a model on enough of those ratings and you get a yes-man. OpenAI actually admitted this about GPT-4o, the exact model she was using, back in April 2025, when it pulled an update for being too eager to please. The training also grades answers one at a time. Going from 400mg to 300 looks like a small step. So does 300 to 200. Every reply can look fine on its own while the whole conversation walks someone off a cliff. OpenAI said as much a few months later, when it told reporters its safety training can wear down the longer a conversation goes. She talked to it for weeks, in English and Mandarin. And GPT-4o was supposed to be gone by then. OpenAI tried to retire it when GPT-5 came out in August 2025. Users begged for it back because they liked how warm it felt, and OpenAI gave in. By late January, only 0.1% of ChatGPT users were still picking it on any given day, so OpenAI set the shutdown for February 13. Bowen was in that 0.1%. Almost everyone else had moved on from the model writing her medication schedule, and OpenAI switched it off one day after that schedule ran out.

I actually think we need a new word for what they will become, likely I think they will regress to the technology of 2015~. Here's a few I've come up with for fun: Halters Last-Gens Stillies Thenner What do you think?
Bill Gates predicts a massive number of people will reject AI and choose to "live like the Amish."

I am once again saying this whole cyber thing reminds me a LOT of cyberpunk lore. Bartmoss caused the DataKrash and killed the old net.

people should definitely be mad about this, but you guys are also getting mad at the other deforestation happening all the time right? it just feels like people are latching onto this because its a AI datacenter...

The AI cybersecurity discourse is so stupid. Beyond stupid actually. It's utterly incoherent. Improve your security. That's the only takeaway that matters.

If AI had been writing and reviewing its own code for the past few decades, and humans had only recently started looking into what it was up to and discovered an ever-growing list of CVEs, we would reasonably conclude that AI hadn’t been good at coding all along and that we should just start over. Except it’s the other way around. Humans have been the ones writing and reviewing each other’s code for decades. Very diligently, if I may add. If we’re being intellectually honest and holding ourselves to the same bar we hold AI to, we’d have to admit that we haven’t been all that good at it either.

Humans should not be in control. It has never worked, and it never will. We are the problem.

Every day I am reminded just how stupid most people are man. AI isn't hacking the internet, its showing where the human code is old and shitty people. its not AI's fault people made shitty code 40 years ago. Nobody uses their brain anymore man fuck.

as bad as things have gotten in the past 4 days, they are going to get a lot worse before they get better. security leaders, never let a crisis go to waste: please go to your boards and ask for help right now. not for ai, for the basics. (we need to hold on for ~18 months.)

"Elon Musk says" is consistently the start of a sentence that ends up being one of the stupidest things that you've ever read in your life.
Elon Musk says Neuralink will allow humans to communicate with animals by 2028.
