Something I have always wanted to do is write a book. So I did. Super proud to release my first book: Basketball Analytics 101: Methods and Tools to Effectively Incorporate Basketball Analytics For Any Team

Besides working for their grounds crew while in college, I just do not like the brewers in any way. My dad, however, is a die hard brewers fan and he’s about to turn 70. It was pretty cool that he got to see one. I’m not going to lie.

Two Side Fast Break Film
Cool concept here from Queens‼️
Using your rim runner to seal and set a "Gortat" like screen on any drives in transition.
👍
Two Side Fast Break Film
Getting your Rim Runner to the dunker spot if they don't get the ball
☑️ Keep the paint open for drives
☑️ Be ready for drop-offs at the rim
☑️ Draw the defense's attention

I’m not trying to replace the whiteboard.
I love the whiteboard.
When I was an assistant for Coach @_AndyFitzgerald, he was a wizard with ATOs. Quick, clear, and everyone knew their job.
That’s the feel I want from Coach Sketch.
Draw it. Get 5 on the same page. Keep coaching.
Two Side Fast Break Film
The Value of a Rim Runner
☑️ take advantage of slow bigs
☑️ put pressure on the rim
☑️ draw defensive attention to the rim to open up the perimeter

Two Side Fast Break Film
The importance of sprinting to corners‼️
☑️ Create as much space as possible
☑️ Create situations where 1 defender has to try & guard 2 ("find the 2 on 1")
☑️ Give your wings/finishers room to attack the basket
☑️ Force defenders to make decisions
👍
Big fan of uphill DHO's, especially off a kick out or rifle pass.
Good option out of the corner if there's no catch-and-shoot.

Cut & Slide or Cut & Push Concept On Middle Drives
☑️ Opposite corner cuts (to dunker or oppo corner depending on philosophy)
☑️ All players use the "drive direction" rule
-drive left, move left
-drive right, move right
☑️ Good for spacing, maintaining gaps, & drive & kick
👍

Two Side Fast Break Film
The importance of slowing down if you are the trailer
✅ Gives teammates space to attack
✅ Trailer's defender often gets sucked in or stuck in help/the paint
✅ Gives time to space properly before flowing into any next actions
👍

The 5-for-5 rule isn’t just reducing opportunities for high school recruits - it’s impacting scholarship $$ too.
We’ve seen several D3 $$ packages match or beat D2 offers. Keep an open mind to every level!
