Today is not just hump day.
Today is a miracle.
A gift from God that once again arrived at our doorstep.
There's a bible story about a woman who's faith was so strong that when she reached out and touched Jesus's cloak, he healed her. I have a friend with leukemia who needs sort of faith, and it does not need to be her faith. If you are faithful, please pray for her. Please.

The Wind ~ (this version)
A word from God
comes the wind
like whispered threads
from seraphim
that drapes the heart
on a sacred whim
Warm
and soft and meditating
Cold
and hard and calculating
Unstoppable
but not invincible
Strong enough to fill tall sails
and calm enough
to find the nooks and crannies
and softly
brush my face
Her breath slips in
and swirls around
then runs away again
Passing by
with twist and turns
touching all along the way
Days turn into nights
and her journey lingers on
I sometimes wonder
if she ever knows
the beauty of her song
With gusts beneath
the struggling wings
or dreams upon the waves
she pushes and pulls
and tosses about
to crucify
or
to save
Through windows open
she reaches in
to caress
and stroke
and pierce
With a childlike laugh
and a warriors heart
laughing
crying
fierce
And why does she speak
with her smile askew
through heavens black
and skies so blue
to a world of lies
and hearts so true
Because
She’s the wind
What else would She do
The poster below is a gimmick used by book stores and book marketers to promote books that are not actually banned.
It's no juvenile that I just could not resist re-posting it.
The Wind (next version)
like whispered words
drapes the wind
to touch the places
deep within
she’s warm
with just a hint of chill
mighty
with tenderness slipped between the gust
she’s unstoppable
but not invincible
strong
enough to fill tall sails
and calm
enough to fill the nooks and crannies and secret places
the wind blows in
and swirls around
then she blows away again
passing by
with twist and turns
she touches all along the way
the day turns into night
and then returns to greet another day
no one seems to question how or why
she does just what she does
she flows from heaven
to caress the world
because
she’s the wind
what else would she do

Color of Night
Have you ever looked
or even tried
to see the color
of the night?
You know it’s there.
It’s got to be.
But try and try
you still can’t see
what’s hidden in the dark.
So I lie in bed,
in the void I stare
towards the color
I know is there.
But like the forest
through the trees
the color of night
slips away from me.
The Wind - (a poem that is alive and keeps growing)
from far away comes the wind
warm
with just a hint of chill
strong
with tenderness between the gust
unstoppable
but not invincible
courageous
enough to fill tall sails
calm
enough to fill the nooks and crannies and hidden places
the wind blows in
swirls around
and then blows away again
in the distance
she twist and turns
and somehow touches everything along the way
as the days turn to night
and then return to greet another day
nobody seems to question how or why
she does the things she does
she’s flows from the heavens
then kisses the world
because
she’s the wind
what else would she do
