My position with the Port Huron Times Herald was eliminated today.
I'm still processing everything, but I want to say thank you to everyone in the Blue Water Area who supported me the past five years.
It's been a pleasure telling your stories.

How did a 936-student NAIA school beat a scholarship-offering Division I program?
At Louisiana Christian, coaches mow the practice field, players work jobs and 24 scholarships are spread across 159 players.
Inside a remarkable upset — and the program behind it. Free🔗below:

Are kids going to lose their scholarships 3 weeks before schools because of this new ruling?
This is why I cannot (and do not) watch MLB games anymore. The product is unwatchable. Yes - pitching is better than ever, and not that batting average is the end all be all, but the poor "metric based" offensive approaches just kills the watchability of the MLB.

Solid fast ball with a dirty off speed mix. Keeping hitters off balance and influencing weak contact. Thru 5 scoreless frames.

High school coaching was never meant to be a stepping stone.
The greatest impact comes from staying long enough to see the results of your investment in people. To coach siblings. To coach the children of former athletes. To become part of the fabric of a community.
Wins matter. But character, culture, and lasting influence take years even decades.
Celebrate coaches that fight to stay for the good of a community

Dear Travel Coaches,
One favor from a High School Coach: If you’re using GameChanger, please keep stats updated and available. We’d love to follow our players throughout the summer, see how they’re performing, and track their development.
Thank you.

Although we didn’t get the ending we hoped for, I’m so proud of everything @ABTarsSoftball accomplished this year. We ended with a 32-4 record, ranked 2nd in state. Thank you Anchor Bay Softball, teammates and coaches, for the best four years I could’ve asked for❤️
