Up on @FanGraphs, I talk a bit about the Framber Valdez signing, a subject I was glad to insidiously filch from @_Ben_Clemens while he is away.

Issuing a correction regarding the Chicago Bears: you do not, under any circumstances, "gotta hand it to them"
The number of keyboard warriors who flood FanGraphs comments with "I'd hate for my team to pay for Soto" just baffles me. Do they all think they're going to get hired by the Rays front office for their brilliant understanding that great players sign big contracts?

I had Wacha down for 3/16. Our median crowdsource was 3/18. He signed for 3/17. Great work, everyone.
Boy, these Dodger hitters are making some solid contact the more they see Gerrit Cole. Someone should investigate whether this is some kind of pattern
Look, not that I'm surprised by the inaccuracy, but Soto swings at 3-0 pitches in the zone at roughly double the league average rate. He's doing exactly what Smoltz is demonizing him for not doing. Very confusing!

I would really, really, really recommend not prying a baseball from Tommy Pham's mitt.
