Samus doing a Rider Kick in the Metroid Suit with impact frame is the sickest thing I've ever seen. Pinch me, I'm dreaming.

Do you take your content seriously?
I think a lot of creators, streamers especially, aren't being honest with themselves when it comes to expectations vs effort
There are four basic habits I think every streamer that wants to grow should be doing

🎮Tokyo Game Show Creator Gig 2026 lenovo.com/creator/gigs/post…
Maybe hot take but I think this is a net good update
Brings the definition of "view" more in line with what users expect, and with other platforms/shorts. Creators across the board see view counts rise which is especially helpful for new/growing creators to see more success off the bat
Sponsors can and will adapt their payouts to the new baseline levels of view counts, and creators can arguably present a more comprehensive view of total impressions vs engaged views now to show full funnel
Partner program payouts are still based on Engaged Views so while we may see more attempted clickbait, it will only translate to vanity views, not financial incentive. Slop channels won't make ROI so they won't be sustainable/profitable
Curious to hear more opinions but overall I see this as a good change that boosts long form content perception/worth
YouTube will count views from the first frame across all formats starting on August 24, 2026.
ALT Last year, we updated how we count public views for Shorts to better capture how viewers watch on YouTube. Now, we’re aligning all other video formats to this same standard for consistency across the platform. Beginning on 8/24/2026, a view will be counted the moment a video begins to play—from the very first frame. This standard will now apply globally across all formats. Historically, we’ve used multiple view counting systems across different formats. However, we’ve heard that creators want to eliminate this metric confusion and accurately understand their true exposure, which is why we’re making this update!

I'm finally starting my OWN podcast!
I miss the Stream Key/Gaming Careers podcasts a lot and decided to launch my own 😁 it will be a mix of topics include self-development, gaming, streaming, health, & much more.
YouTube - youtu.be/iqk4jDJjntY
Spotify - open.spotify.com/episode/0YJ…
Apple - podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
Each episode will be streamed live Sundays @ 9pm on my Twitch channel!
Longtime folks may know that I used to host both the Stream Key Podcast and Gaming Careers Podcast. I hosted hundreds of episodes under those shows, but neither were under my direct control. This is the first show I own completely and I'm very excited about the long-term vision of this one.
I think podcasting (and streaming/videos) are here to stay for decades, and I want to talk about everything from self development to gaming/streaming to health/fitness and more. If you're a nerd who's also into getting better each day, this show might be for you.
The first episode is available now on my channel as well as wherever you get your podcasts - Spotify, Apple, etc. I hope you like it and look forward to your feedback!
