Today a year ago was my first day at Netflix 🥳.
Since then I helped the team with moving towards Swift, worked on the brightness, lock and speed control, added remove from continue watching and have now an overall line count from -39k in the codebase.
🤯 it’s been a year
Very interesting talk about the hugging face incident and what companies can do today to accelerate their incidence response:

Live stream about this hack starting now: calendify.com/session/vn54bj… #37c3
Three researchers from TU Berlin have hacked Tesla's FSD software by removing the system and manipulating the voltage, thereby bypassing the circuit board's protection systems.
Among other things, they uncovered a driving mode in which the car drives completely autonomously. However, such a hack is hardly possible with parked Tesla vehicles. The hackers stated that they had reported the vulnerability to Tesla.
According to the three hackers, they were able to prove that Tesla's vehicles have the so-called Elon mode - a driving mode that allows the car to drive completely autonomously without the driver having to keep their hands on the steering wheel regularly.
Such hacks by external experts are common and many companies including Tesla even pay for it to discover and close security gaps.
Obviously, the media is trying to portray the story as a security risk and problematic, although it is quite normal that if you take apart and manipulate an electronic system, sooner or later you will find a way to crack it, depending on the effort involved.

Had an amazing time @baswiftable!
So grateful to be able to meet developers in South America, of which many stated how much they get inspired and appreciate all speakers that take the effort to fly over.
It’s definitely not my last time visiting: both city, conferences, the food and the people were amazing 🙏🏻
Now it’s time for a long flight back home, but I can’t wait to see my wife, son, dog, cats, and chickens again 😁

🙌 Apple Vision Pro seems to perfectly support direct touch, which is a *fantastic* way to interact with digital content up close and personal, as well as typing with the keyboard.
