Courtside AI is on the App Store.
The scorebook never answered the timeout question — what do we call, right now? Courtside reads both teams live and turns it into the call: when to foul, when to hold, who to target.

A 60-second timeout is really about 30 seconds of talk once the chaos settles. One defensive fix, one offensive call, one situational reminder — that's the whole huddle. Wrote up why less is what actually gets used. #CoachTwitter

Not every "hold for one" is end of game — the same discipline applies at the end of any quarter. Don't hand them a possession before the horn.
Tied game, 30 seconds left, your ball. Initiate around 10, shoot by 5, and crash the offensive glass. Worst case is overtime with your timeouts still in your pocket.
Up 1, 0:02, Hibbert on the bench. Up one isn't up three — no foul math saves you. The stop is the whole game.
The read, live:
Wrote up how the bonus actually works: 5 team fouls in a quarter is the double bonus, it resets every quarter — except overtime, which doesn't reset at all. That last part catches more coaches than it should.

Down 3 with 25 seconds — quick two, then foul immediately. Under 20 seconds the math flips to hunting the three instead.
Up 3, 7 seconds, 2013 Finals. The Spurs defended. Watch what the bench software calls — and when the call changes.
Famous endings series starts Friday.
With a 35-second shot clock there's an exact window to play 2-for-1 — get a good look up by ~41 seconds and the ball comes back to you with time for one more. Wrote up the whole thing, including what actually breaks it.

Tied late with fouls to give? That next foul is free — spend it early in their dribble, it costs nothing and blows up whatever they just called. Up 1 or 2, keep it in your pocket and defend. #CoachTwitter
46 seconds left with the ball and a 35-second shot clock? That's a 2-for-1 — get a good look up by 41 and the ball comes back to you with time for one more.
Two teams can score the same points per game and not be close to the same offense. Here's the number that actually tells you something — and it isn't points per game.

Down 5 with 1:05 left, and the foul game needs to start now — not at :30. Most losses in this spot come from waiting too long.

My favorite feature is the shot grading. You can grade shots(1, 3, 5, 7, 9) and it will keep track of your individual players and specific actions average shot quality and suggest a combination of the two based of your season long data in game!

Up 3. 0:20 left. They have the ball coming out of a timeout, and you have a foul to give.
What's your call?
Most coaches start the foul game too late. Wrote up the actual formula for exactly when to start, down 4 to 7.

Up 3 with 20 seconds left isn't a foul yet — it's too early. Guard the arc, no hands on the shooter, and take the foul once it drops under ~12.

Great read! Interesting write up on one of the most debated basketball decisions!
I wrote up the entire "foul up 3" decision — the exact clock window, and the one rebounding exception that changes the whole call.
