I didn’t decide to get into local politics for the sake of it.
I worked full‑time whilst studying towards my degree part‑time, saved carefully, and bought my first home aged 23, believing that doing the "right thing" would bring some security.
When I remortgaged two years later interest rates had doubled and I very nearly couldn’t afford to keep my own home. It was a real wake‑up call.
That experience made it clear to me that the main parties no longer stand up for people who work hard and try to build a stable life.
Reform offered an alternative that puts those who work, contribute, and play by the rules back at the centre of policy.

Genuine question:
Does anyone know why Tory and Labour ministers are so OBSESSED with importing Afghans to Britain?
It’s an addiction.
More important than any domestic political issue to them.
They’ll import them by the thousand, not vet them, spend billions, take out superinjuntions.
Use up all their political capital.
Ruin their legacy.
Sacrifice British women and girls.
Then boast about it in Parliament.
After all we know about the sex offences from the ones the Tories brought here, Mahmood’s flagship today was to announce even more.
Genuinely psychotic behaviour.
Reform will reverse this madness.

Our deputy leader's comments regarding Mr Thomas, who was swiftly arrested and charged by Hampshire police. Question for the Home Office: Why is a citizen like Mr Thomas facing criminal charges for ensuring an illegal dinghy can’t be reused by border-smuggling gangs?
At the same time, millions of tax pounds go toward processing unchecked arrivals? And will never have to be paid back.
They arrest the people driven to frustration because it highlights their own complete failure to enforce our borders.
Reform UK is the only party prepared to do what it takes to protect our nation's borders.
