You claim I read the law 'too literally.' In International Law, that is called following the Rule of Law. According to Article 31 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, terms must be interpreted in their 'ordinary meaning.' I stick to the text of the Convention and the ICJ Orders; you, however, are trying to invent a 'demographic offset' that exists in no legal textbook.
Now, let’s talk about your ‘Balance Sheet’ of death:
The Demographic Fallacy: Arguing that genocide is negated because births outpace deaths is a legal absurdity. Genocide is defined by the acts of the perpetrator (Art. II), not by the biological resilience of the victims. A net gain in population doesn’t erase the 3.23% killed or the deliberate destruction of their life-support systems.
Plausibility vs. Final Proof: You claim there is 'no demonstration whatsoever' of a threat to existence. You are factually and legally wrong. The ICJ already ruled on this in Paragraph 54 of the Order: 'The facts and circumstances [...] are sufficient to conclude that at least some of the rights claimed [...] are plausible. This is the case with respect to the right of the Palestinians in Gaza to be protected from acts of genocide.' The Court doesn't issue binding orders based on 'nothing'.
The Srebrenica Trap: You cite the killing of men in Srebrenica as 'substantial' due to procreation. By that same logic, the massive killing of women and children in Gaza—which the ICJ identified as a plausible risk—is even more 'substantial' for the group's future survival.
Infrastructure & Art. II (c): You claim universities aren't 'necessary'. Under the Convention, destroying 100% of universities and 80% of homes is the deliberate infliction of conditions calculated to bring about physical destruction. You are describing the dismantling of a society and calling it 'irrelevant'.
Your math isn't legal analysis; it's an attempt to quantify atrocity to make it palatable. Between the literal text of the Law and your creative math, I’ll take the Law every time.

In 2016, Elor Azaria murdered Abdel Fattah al-Sharif in cold blood while he was incapacitated on the floor. He was charged with manslaughter and became a national hero for his crime. He spent a mere nine months in prison. Today the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog cleared him and removed his criminal record. Murder to Palestinians is not a crime in Israel. It is encouraged.

Israel is no longer hiding its intentions. They are now out in the open.
In recent years, ministers, MKs, top military officers, and even the prime minister himself have openly boasted about the Elimination Project Israel is implementing in the West Bank. They take pride in the violence, land grabs, settlement expansion, the expulsion of Palestinians from their land, home demolitions, and efforts to change the reality on the ground. What was once denied or hidden is now being said openly.
No need to guess or search for hidden plans. Just listen to what they say and look at what is happening on the ground.
B’Tselem’s new report shows that these are not merely isolated extremist remarks. They reflect a political plan, backed by an entire system designed to carry it out. Its purpose is to dismantle the very infrastructure that allows Palestinians to exist as a collective in the West Bank, while expanding and reinforcing Israeli control and Jewish presence across the area.
This is the elimination project, and it is being carried out in the open.

Israel now fully controls 92% of Israel-Palestine.
While Prime Minister Netanyahu had previously negotiated based on the possibility of some type of future Palestinian state, this government now claims all the land of Israel-Palestine and is aggressively implementing a comprehensive, systematic plan to realize its vision of a Greater Israel.
The surprising part is how close they have already come.

Israel is dismantling Palestinian collective life in the West Bank.
A catastrophe is unfolding across the West Bank. Checkpoints, expulsions, killings and land takeovers are not separate events or isolated human rights violations. They are part of the same system. It is time to connect the dots.
Our new report, The Elimination Project, shows how these mechanisms form one political project: dismantling Palestinian collective life while expanding Israeli control and Jewish presence.
Since late 2022, and especially since October 2023, this process has accelerated and become more openly violent. Palestinians live under constant threat from soldiers and armed settler militias. Since 7 October 2023, Israel has killed 1,107 Palestinians, including 245 children. State-backed settler farms and outposts seize vast areas, communities are expelled, and movement restrictions fragment Palestinian space.
Israel is also strangling the Palestinian economy, criminalizing political and social organizing, shutting down civil society organizations and arresting journalists and activists.
Together, these mechanisms cut Palestinians off from land, livelihoods and one another, dismantling the conditions they need to exist as a people – with institutions, leadership, shared history and a political future.
The Elimination Project is not new. Its logic has shaped Israeli policy for decades through dispossession, fragmentation, military rule and apartheid. In 2017, Bezalel Smotrich published the “Decisive Plan,” centered on making Jewish-Israeli control irreversible. It gives Palestinians three options: relinquish their collective aspirations and live under Jewish supremacy, leave, or face military repression. Under the current government, central elements of this vision are being translated into policy, budgets, powers and practices. In Gaza, this logic has reached its most extreme manifestation: the genocide Israel is committing there.
The international community must stop treating Israel’s violence and violations as isolated incidents, stop enabling Israel’s crimes, and end the impunity that allows the Elimination Project to continue.

Termino de ver #Fauda y quiero transmitir algunas reflexiones sobre la quinta temporada que no tiene nada de ficción:
1) Es inimaginable lo profunda que es la herida del 7 de octubre (o “el 7” como se lo conoce) en el pueblo judío y en Israel. Esa mañana de un sábado, en medio de Shabbat y la fiesta de Sukot, Hamas y los palestinos provocaron la mayor masacre de judíos desde la Shoá.
2) Los críticos de Israel dicen encontrar en la Nakba (la guerra de 1947-1949 iniciada por los árabes) como un justificativo a la masacre. Ninguno de los palestinos que ingresaron a Israel a atacar a civiles inocentes fueron afectados por esa guerra. Nada tiene que ver.
3) Esa crítica pierde muchísima fuerza cuando vemos que Hamas y los palestinos fueron en búsqueda, principalmente, de ancianos, mujeres y niños de los kibutzim a quienes sometieron a torturas, vejaciones y todo tipo de abusos antes de asesinarlos.
4) Se señala en esta temporada el nivel de idiotez que hay en la mentalidad progre europea, un ejército de alienados que han defendido las violaciones como arma de guerra y que han demostrado que los derechos de las mujeres son primordiales siempre y cuando las víctimas no sean judías ni israelíes.
Siempre que termino de escribir alguna reflexión respecto al 7 me gusta señalar lo mismo: Gaza merece haber quedado debajo de escombros e Israel, basado en los más altos principios humanos, fue muy benevolente con el enemigo.
