PS2 games on your PS5, faster than ever.
What's new:
• Frame generation now hits 120 fps on original PS5s below firmware 9.00 (it was stuck at 40/80), with less delay
• Faster in every game: quicker EE recompiler, quicker game starts, less GPU waiting on older firmware
• No more stutter when frame generation kicks in
• L1+R1+Touch takes you straight back to the shelf, even after an emulation error, with your saves kept
• Memory cards are saved to disk seconds after you save
• ISOs on USB drives recover from read errors instead of freezing
• New disc helper (171p) fixes PS5SX2 sometimes starting without its data folder

BlackBox 1.12.6 fixes what 1.12.5 broke.
After critical crashes, browser issues and update shutdowns hit the previous release, BlackBox 1.12.6 focuses on stability.
• Hero loading crashes fixed
• Camera dialog issue fixed
• Browser verification fixed
• Download streams fixed
• Ghost storage entries removed
• Account details now visible
• 10 language translations completed
• Safer update shutdowns
• Built-in download service
• New diagnostic log system
The biggest change is the update system.
BlackBox no longer needs a separate blackbox.elf for its download service, and updates now use a safer shutdown path to prevent the console from abruptly powering off.
If you're running 1.12.5, this is the update you want.
