🚨 Child killer Jamie Varley is reportedly no longer living the same isolated existence behind bars — and is now mixing with some of Wakefield Prison’s most reviled inmates. Varley is understood to have been moved onto D Wing, a vulnerable-prisoner unit housing inmates including notorious sex offenders and child killers. The wing has reportedly earned a grim nickname among prisoners — the “super nonces wing” — because of the nature of the crimes committed by some of those held there. For Varley, it marks a dramatic change. Since receiving a whole-life order in June, meaning he will never be released, the convicted murderer had reportedly spent much of his time separated from the wider prison population. His arrival at the maximum-security Category A jail in West Yorkshire was allegedly met with fury, with prisoners said to have hammered on cell doors and shouted threats. Because of the hostility he faced, Varley was reportedly kept under tight security and segregation, with his welfare closely monitored. But he is now understood to be living among other inmates on the prison’s vulnerable-prisoner regime. The former secondary-school teacher — who had been a head of year and designated safeguarding lead — may now have to spend the rest of his life surrounded by prisoners who know exactly who he is and what he did. There are also claims Varley has begun using the name “Harry Robb” inside prison in an apparent attempt to conceal his identity. Reports have even suggested there have been threats against him and talk of a “bounty” — claims which should be treated cautiously unless officially confirmed. Preston Davey was just 13 months old when he died after enduring months of horrific physical, psychological and sexual abuse. A post-mortem examination revealed the devastating extent of his injuries. Preston had suffered 40 traumatic injuries, including at least 30 external bruises, injuries to his mouth and throat, serious internal injuries and a healing non-accidental fracture to his upper arm. His cause of death was recorded as acute upper-airway obstruction, with oral rape identified as a contributing factor. Varley was ultimately convicted of baby Preston's murder, alongside a catalogue of other offences. They included two counts of sexually assaulting a child under 13, inflicting grievous bodily harm, four counts of child cruelty, ten counts of making indecent images of children, two counts of possessing indecent images and one count of distributing an indecent image. His punishment was the most severe available to the courts: a whole-life order. There will never be a parole hearing and no release date. Varley will die behind bars. The question is when!
