My husband, @mattvanswol has been locked out of his X account for refusing to delete a post he made this morning. X locked his account for “abuse and harassment” which of course, he did not do. In fact, he did the EXACT OPPOSITE and stated how horrible the video was and how awful it was to watch. How can we “be the news” if we cannot post the news without being forced to delete it? This is wrong. People should be allowed to see the content Matt posts, regardless of whether it is hard to watch or not. Personally, I often find it really difficult to watch some of the content Matt posts because it is so horrible. And that’s exactly the point. People need to KNOW things like this are happening… because without people like Matt, so many stories would not be national news and catalysts for change. @x and @elonmusk please fix this.

If you Thanos snapped the bottom 2% of society out of existence, society would become Mayberry with iphones and a small child could traverse NYC alone with no threat whatsoever. People simply do not understand how much low-trust and criminality is tolerated as a political choice.
Replying to @Erundel
If you Thanos snapped the top 2% of society out of existence, every company, country, and system along with civilization as we know it would collapse within weeks If you did the same thing to the bottom 2%, nothing would change. If anything, average daily life would improve

I've got a better idea, why don't you make an addon for Nyara that prevents them from seeing posts from children, that way he's not able to groom them into thinking they're another gender Don't believe it's that bad? Search "from:nyaraVT trans kids"

ANTI AI people often complain that AI steals art and pieces it together (in a collage) to make AI illustrations. (It doesn’t) But the question is… do they even care about that in the first place? Theft? Internet usage? I’ve literally never seen these people complain about AMVs, meme edits or gifs. Not even once.

Masculinity is about protecting people and things one cares about from those that would harm them. Anyone that calls that "toxic" is a clear and present danger to all that is good.

I'm trying to make VTubing more accessible. I'm working on an AI System to make Live2d Models from reference to rig and ready for Vtube Studio in under an hour. The goal the past two days was to make entry-level models and rigs and I think we achieved that goal. Next goal is mid-level... which I estimate will take me 1 week.

Elon Musk was asked why he sets deadlines that everyone knows are impossible. His answer explains a management technique that no business school teaches because it sounds irrational on paper. "An impossible deadline gets you 80% of the way there in the time a reasonable deadline gets you 40%." Everyone expected him to say the deadlines are aspirational. Stretch goals. North stars. The usual corporate language for targets nobody expects to hit. He said that's not what they are. The deadline is real. He knows it won't be met exactly. But the urgency it creates is real. When an engineer has 6 months to finish something, the first 4 months are spent overthinking, over-designing, and attending meetings about how to approach the work. The actual building happens in the last 2 months under panic. His deadlines skip the first 4 months. By setting a deadline of 2 months for a 6-month project, the panic starts immediately. The overthinking phase is eliminated because there's no time for it. The team builds first and refines later. The result at month 2 is roughly what month 4 would have produced under a normal timeline. Then the refinement happens in months 3 and 4 instead of months 5 and 6. He said the anger people feel about missing an impossible deadline is less damaging than the complacency of coasting toward a comfortable one. Missing an aggressive target by 20% still puts you ahead of hitting a conservative target by 100%. Reasonable deadlines produce reasonable results. Unreasonable deadlines produce unreasonable results delivered slightly late. The second outcome is better every time. The people who complain about the deadline are comparing it to comfort. He's comparing it to output.

History gets uncomfortable when the receipts come out. The first Klan rose during Reconstruction as a white-supremacist force terrorizing Black citizens and Republicans, while Democratic victories across the South helped restore white rule. In 1923, the Women of the KKK formed and quickly grew to roughly 250,000 members. So spare me the sanctimonious fairy tale that racism has always been a Republican story. America’s history includes a segregationist Democratic South, an anti-slavery Republican founding, and a major party realignment. Tell the whole damn history or stop pretending it began yesterday.

"Under Communism, everyone has a job". This is absolutely true. Here's what else was true. 1) you were ASSIGNED your job AND the region for that job by the state (i.e., a bureaucraft). You were required to stay in your job at least 3 years. 2) After 3 years, if you wanted to switch jobs, you needed the approval of both your labor board AND your employer. If you switched too often (for example: every 3 years), there were legal penalties, up to imprisonment. 3) promotions were based on party membership, loyalty, and sucking up. I'ved talked to a lot of former Soviet citizens, and zero of them thought merit was of use. Also many nice jobs were only for party members. 4) Wages were pretty even across the board. A factory worker, engineer, and factory manager had similar salaries, so it was indeed egalitarian, but didn't have a lot of incentive. The higher-rank workers did get perks to make up for it. They might get a vacation dacha on the Black Sea. Or a "company" car with a chaffeur. That sort of thing. The higher-ups had better stuff. 5) you needed a passport to travel inside your own country . You couldn't just move to Leningrad and look for work. Or even go on vacation without permission. 6) you had a union. It was state-controlled. You could not go on strike. If you criticized your factory manager, you would be arrested. Yay unions. If you look at the above, they are an evil capitalist's wet dream. Think of a movie with a foul imaginary super-corporation so beloved of science fiction movies. - they would support every one of those initiatives. Becuase that's what the Soviet Union was - the biggest, most evil corporation that ever existed.
