Evidence shows Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives don't work & can increase division. DEI Consultants at Ontario School Boards are out of control, charging taxpayers $500/hr + to teach divisive theories. Read more ⬇️ thehub.ca/2024-03-07/mike-ra…

Pleased to see Alberta's Bill 38, which aims to strengthen institutional neutrality, provide oversight on student and staff codes of conduct, and require freedom of expression policies. I'll have more to say on this but it's a positive development. ctvnews.ca/calgary/article/a…

Toronto Sun torontosun.com/opinion/colum… 41% of Ontario school trustees were filled by acclamation. No vote. No choice. In the races that were contested, union- and labour-endorsed candidates won 69% of the time. Everyone else: 18%. In Toronto, 17 of 18 labour-endorsed candidates won. This isn't local democracy. This is capture. The elected trustee model is broken. 1/3

Halloween is always a fun time in schools across Ontario! 🎃 Yesterday, students at Elm Drive Public School in Mississauga showed off their costumes and took part in the school’s Halloween parade, a tradition that brings students of all grades together for some Halloween fun. Wishing all students, families and educators across Ontario a Happy Halloween! Have fun and stay safe out there! 👻

I support this approach. Parents and students deserve to be heard, and elected trustees have an important role in ensuring their voices are represented. Holding public meetings in community spaces keeps that connection alive. Thank you to the trustees standing up for families across Toronto. thestar.com/news/gta/gone-ro…

If you aren’t paying attention to B.C politics you should. Historic things are happening over there. The province has become the frontline for a lot of the issues Canadians are debating: - An unprecedented miscalculation from NDP premier David Eby who called an election two years early over political opportunism- reaching to make a race about Trump. He wound up losing government, and his leadership. - A repudiation of progressive policies on crime/substance abuse. - An expression of unease towards how Indigenous land claims and property rights are being handled there. - An incoming premier in Lorne Doerkson who has only been Con interim leader for 35 days, following an unexpected call while he was vacationing in Africa. Thrust into the role after Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s (the just elected Con party leader) epic flame out. Following major celebrations, Conservatives should think long and hard about whether the “true blue” candidates they elect at convention are capable of winning general elections/the broader appeal of average voters. I think this was a case of the revenge of conservative normies. It’s the province’s first Conservative government in nearly a century.

When that student who made the news for inquiring about the financial damage of renaming a school offers to help distribute campaign literature 🙏🏼 On Oct 26th, vote for student voice!
This grade 10 student is 🔥🔥🔥 And, Ishan, you're 100% correct, you shouldn’t have had to go through a whole FOI process to find out the total cost to rename the school. Especially since trustee @cindyw_watson Had already asked for (and was told she would receive) this information at a June 2025 budget meeting. It absolutely should be transparent to the public. ctvnews.ca/kitchener/article…

Attention Ward 14 Toronto - Danforth: After 23 long years, you finally have an opportunity to elect a fresh face to represent your interests at City Hall. Caryma Sa’d is a bright, articulate lawyer who has been tirelessly documenting Toronto streets for the better part of a decade. In the courtroom, she has fought for tenant rights, and would be a great advocate for Ward 14. IntegrityTO fully supports @Vote4Sad as your next city councillor. Election October 26 🗳️

I’ve seen Toronto at its best and at its worst, and love it all the same. If the establishment works for you, I might not be your preferred candidate. But for those who want to challenge and improve the status quo: Vote Sa’d, Be Happy #TorontoDanforth #VoteSad VoteSad.ca

Another humble thank you to @farwell_WR for opening the door to free-flowing conversation and meaningful dialogue. It’s paramount not only during elections, so citizens can vote informed, but within our systems themselves. We must be willing to exchange ideas openly, challenge one another respectfully, and consider different perspectives if we are to offer the very best to our students and society at large! youtube.com/watch?v=Nwxlox_L…

"This municipal election is not a referendum on Confederation. But it is the election closest to your life. It decides who controls your property taxes, who sets priorities for roads, transit, police, fire and emergency services, who shapes housing policy in one of the fastest-growing regions in Canada and who sits on the school boards that educate the next generation." @WR_Record ✔️ On The Record: Now it’s your turn. Paul W. Bennett, a respected Canadian education researcher and author of The State of the System, has been taking notice of what's happening in @wrdsb . This recognition highlights that the growing calls for school board reform extend beyond local politics. On Oct 26th, vote for honourable governance, accountability, and educational excellence.
School Board Reform: Stirring for change in Ontario's Waterloo Public Schools stoked by Trustee Mike Ramsay is now a full-fledged movement to 'take back' the schools. It's the most contested terrain, once again, in the culture wars #ONTed #ONpoli
