Reception had a fantastic time celebrating Chinese New Year! 🧧🐉 We used chopsticks, explored Chinese symbol writing, enjoyed dragon dancing and even created our own menus. Such a wonderful cultural experience and lots of fun! 🌟 #ChineseNewYear #EarlyYears

'Overprotective Childhood Experiences' (OCEs) are a real issue in how we sometimes approach supporting children with SEND, if it leads to too-low expectations of conduct or output. Ironically, this can lead to a genuinely adverse environment for them *and* their peers.
Here's a term we really need: "Overprotective Childhood Experiences", or OCEs -- a counterpart to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Raising kids on "Easy Mode" stunts their learning and development. From Niklas Serning:
