Pant took a break of 2-3 days to perform the last rites of his father, who unfortunately passed away during the ipl, he cameback and played the game against RCB and hit the first ball for a six and scored a fifty. delhi lost this match, but pant won everyone's heart.

The only truly good and interesting thing this tinpot planet has going for it right now is Rishabh Pant.
He’ll always find a way to entertain you, even if it comes at the cost of getting abused by the fans. He can fly, yet chooses to walk among us humble to the core. He could break every record in the book, but somehow still plays in a way that never makes other cricketers feel inferior.
His tenturies are more entertaining than most people’s hundreds. His 90s are more fun than someone else’s 200. Only player to invent different ways of getting out. His one shot can overshadow the talks of someone's whole career.
Sometimes, it feels like he plays a rash shot not because he can’t resist it, but because he wants to give the bowler a moment of happiness to boost their confidence rather than shatter it.
No one knows his next move except himself, whether it will be stupid or stupendous.
