Inspired by cities with real, expansive transit systems, I’ve created an updated @CATSRideTransit fantasy map. It consists of Light Rail, Streetcars, Commuter Rail, Amtrak, BRT, and monorail.
Below is an Area Map, a System Map, and an Uptown reference map.

Despite polls closing at 7:30, there will be no results posted for North Carolina until at least 8:15 pm.
NCSBE voted to extend the voting time of the South Williams-Tabor City Courthouse precinct in Tabor City until 8:15 due to a technical issue at this precinct that slowed down voting. Two affidavits were filed that estimated 15-30 people left as a result.
Voting has also been extended to 8 pm at the K8 Holloway Recreation Center in Kinston because the printer wasn’t working. A voter who works in Greenville left without being able to vote.
Meeting still ongoing.

NCSBE emergency meeting notice at 2 pm. Watch: ow.ly/v9PR5103tnY. Meeting is routine protocol to review any issues at polling places & consider recommending extending voting hours at affected precincts. It's classified an emergency meeting per public notice requirements.

NCSBE is holding an emergency meeting to consider extending voting hours at several precincts. This happens almost every election and isn’t cause for panic. One of the precincts is on App State’s campus

Me explico:

We got your back, New York!

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

So this kind of got big lol. Here's a followup.
First, it was a minor inconvenience, we were stuck for 5-10 minutes, so It was not the end of the world. I was frustrated at first, 5 seconds of panic, and then I just had to laugh.
In the beginning of the video a girl is laughing/shouting "I Have to go to the bathroom" which is hilarious and not many people noticed that.
The metro guy was very friendly. He hustled to get us out. He was very apologetic. The crowd had just had a very very very long 1 hour 45 minute metro ride home, but everyone was still friendly to the guy.
The metro ride home was more annoying than being locked in because it took twice as long as usual. So when I saw the lock, I was like "of course!" lol.
No, Dan Quinn is NOT running the metro, despite the speculation from fans.
Washington commanders fans get locked in the metro.
It took so long for the train to get home that by the time it arrived at the final station, there were no employees there and all the doors were locked.
So tons of people were just trapped.
It normally takes like an hour to get home on the metro but today it took two hours. So everybody was already like frustrated.
Thank goodness the commanders won lol
Anyways, your final update, somebody showed up and let us out. The game ended at 11:27 PM and I got home at 1:59 AM.
I may never Metro again lol

"Trunk or Treat" represents one of the most depressing examples of the breakdown of the traditional neighborhood and the rise of car culture.
In "trunk-or-treat," parents drive kids to a parking lot so kids can walk from car to car and grab candy out of the driver's candy bowl.
In a traditional neighborhood, kids set out from their homes, trick-or-treating nearby and walking up to greet neighbors at threshold of their homes.
