Welcome to 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 🌎
The article just published by @rarity_garden (below) is the perfect starting point 👇
The search begins...
Over the past few days I've been sharing different parts of Digital Matter World, because there's quite a lot to it and I didn't want to throw everything at everyone in one go.
I've now put together a fuller explanation of what we've built, how it works, and why I think it opens up some really interesting possibilities for the wider Digital Matter community on Bitcoin.
If you've been following along, here's where it all comes together.

If you hold Bitmaps, this is worth paying attention to.
@rarity_garden and the team at @TracNetwork are letting holders link their Bitmaps inside Digital Matter World so they can earn 15% of the minting fee (in $TAP) whenever anyone creates eligible digital matter from the blocks those Bitmaps represent. It doesn’t matter who mints it or when next week or years later the linked Bitmap holder still gets the cut.
Bitmaps have mostly been treated as digital land claims. This turns them into something that can keep generating if activity happens on those blocks.
Details on how the linking works are still coming, but the core idea is that something people already own can start earning without needing to do anything else after the initial link.
Worth watching how the mechanics actually play out once they release them. @BitmapAlpha $TAP $BITMAP
If you're a Bitmap holder, here's something important to know about Digital Matter World.
Your Bitmaps already represent your Bitcoin blocks (ofc).
In Digital Matter World, you can link them and give them additional earning potential.
Once linked, whenever any eligible digital matter from your blocks is created on Bitcoin, whether that’s next week or years into the future, you'll receive 15% of the minting fee (in $TAP), regardless of whoever creates those assets.
We’ll soon release the full details around linking and the specific earnings mechanics.
I’ve always loved the idea that something people already own can find entirely new uses, which is why Bitmaps are integrated as a central economic component within DMW.

Right, here's what I was hinting at yesterday.
Digital Matter World is coming.
We've put an enormous amount of work into this, and I've been looking forward to sharing it with the wider Bitocin and Digital Matter community.
There's a lot to it, and I want to give each part the attention it deserves.
I'll be revealing more over the coming days.

A new addition to the product section of the Bitmap GitHub.
To preserve an ecosystem of value, the Standard Model of Ownership recommends only rendering items when the address matches the land owner or avatar user like wallets do.
Diverging from standard model is creative mode.

Inspired by Minecraft survival and creative modes. In survival mode, all items must be earned through work. In creative mode you have unlimited use of any resource.
Choice is key for both developers and builders.
The product section is in the product branch, along with the new Metadata conventions, preference, blinking, and reinscriptions.

Not yet merged to main, open for peer review.
Building on the interoperability convention, I've added two more. One for the user, one for the platform.
Combined, they create a discoverabilty unlock that can be woven into any implementation-agnostic bitmap platform.
Platform preference tells them which inscribed platform to open your bitmap in, by default.
Platform blinking allows direct linking to specific bitmap districts or parcels within compatible platforms via a URL fragment.
