Lincoln City are League One champions!
So resharing this piece I wrote for @TimesSport on what it means, all the years watching with my Dad and the idea of taking my daughter to her first game in the Championship... @LincolnCity_FC @EFL

Poor from Lincoln that. Errors galore, sloppy on ball, naive and missed chances.
Can talk about potential red card but Birmingham are good, do grunt work really well and can play too.
Liam Millar on loan could be signing of season in Champ
PS we need a midfielder in Jan
Lisandro Martinez, having allowed Morgan Rogers to stroll through and score, then delivers a forearm smash to concede a penalty and get sent off.
A complete liability and total con of a footballer
High boot, straight to the face and would have been running in on goal...
A yellow card?
Quick scan and think some Brum fans thought red?

Fascinating piece by @GregorRoberts0n on the increase in players taking shots from the halfway line - it's no longer a hopeful punt!

I don’t get this one. I understand the ref’s call in real time but don’t see violent conduct on the replays, only a frustrated, aggressive act from a player on the receiving end of two extremely robust tackles in ten minutes. I’d have rescinded the red and waived the suspension
The FA has confirmed that Arsenal’s appeal against Max Dowman’s red card has been dismissed by an independent regulatory commission.
The 16-year-old will now be suspended for the upcoming Premier League matches against Liverpool, Hull City and Newcastle United.

That is ridiculous refereeing, someone knows they're on tele
Dowman got clattered, gives a little bit back, two yellows, crack on
Saved by the Stretford End!
Remarkable stuff - fan power still works!

CHUFFED for Harry Kane and to be able to do this late update for the @TimesSport back page
In this year of guilty verdicts, terrible owners and FIFA trying to sell the game, this is a great win for one of football's good guys
