I drove a big truck and then made a podcast about it. It's on the radio machines tonight in Canada and on the podcast machines already everywhere. Here is the truck I drove. So fast. So wobbly-ly. This guy in the picture was my instructor.

Maybe this is a cold take now but possibly what happens is so many people stumble into watching or re-watching Threads and then on to The Day After etc., on a global scale that finally shifts the needle to precipitate nuclear disarmament and then world peace, why not.

To be discussed?
In this issue of RadioDoc Review, read Jess Shane's provocative manifesto for the rise of "Third Podcasting" after Fernando Solanas and Octavio Getino's concept of "Third Cinema." ro.uow.edu.au/cgi/viewconten…

More food for pragmatists.
Chris Hookway: such a wonderful philosopher and person. I was honoured to have him as one of my DPhil supervisors and am honoured to have an offering to him in this volume. Thank you Bob, Paniel and Daniel for this volume.

This episode by @Lazin_Ryder is great. (To listen to.) (Obviously to listen to. Why am I clarifying that point. It's not 'great at soccer' or whatever else I could have meant. No one would be confused on that point. Carry on.) cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-2…

Does anybody know a nice electrician who could give some advice to a not-yet-electrician looking to get into the trade?

Had a wonderful time chatting with CBC Radio’s Ideas @cbcideas about neutrinos and childlike wonder at Cornell Broadcast Studios yesterday! Cornellians, take advantage of the Studios for your audio and video media interviews, I wish I had sooner! @MITKidsPress

I spend the whole photo shoot making elegant and intellectual-seeming facial expressions, except for one unguarded moment... and.. FOILED AGAIN IN THE QUEST FOR DIGNITY

Tonight on @BBCRadio4. Made with the incredibly talented @PhoebeMcindoe, exploring a subject close to her heart. We met such extraordinary people in the making of this and will be forever grateful. Thinking of all those for whom this will resonate ♥️ bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001gkd…

“Who I am today has been enabled by them” — Prof. Carl James, @YorkUeducation & 2022 Killam Prize winner, gives credit to the students he’s followed in his work for years. He talks to @cbcideas about racism in education and change through relationships. bit.ly/3FzdA8S
