Claude code just proved that you are willing to believe AI can do anything. Thats the real vulnerability. It doesnt have to actually identify or prove flawed code to cause hysteria.

n 2021 and 2022, we created tokens with no utility and fought for position on holder rankings for monopoly money we couldn’t use.
In 2026, we’re building rich, utility driven environments that spark creativity and community involvement, yet developers are hesitant to add tokenized economies because the speculative appetite that once funded everything has faded.
“DeFi is dead, so why tokenize?”
Because ownership can outlive speculation.
We can build environments where people create things worth owning, exchange things worth using, and help sustain communities they actually want to participate in... a tokenized economy can support that activity without making price appreciation its reason to exist.
But utility alone doesn’t justify a token. Games already have currencies, communities already have memberships, creative tools already have marketplaces. Adding a token needs to give people something meaningful beyond another balance to watch.
Can people exchange their work without depending on one company’s marketplace? Can others build tools around shared assets? Can communities fund ongoing development through actual activity? Can people retain meaningful ownership if the original developer moves on?
Those things take deliberate design. Putting something on a blockchain doesn’t automatically make it useful, portable, independent or sustainable.
the question is... what should people own that would otherwise remain permission to use someone else’s platform?
If there’s a meaningful answer, there’s a reason to tokenize. If the economy only works while new buyers push prices up, richer environments haven’t changed the underlying bargain.
That requires a shift in the mentality of creators and buyers alike. We need to stop making the core purpose of token ownership the satisfaction of FOMO, with fast participants profiting from slower ones.
We need to show what becomes possible when tokens exist to support creation, exchange, access and shared resources... and when some of the value generated flows back into the communities doing the work.
i saw DeFi on Tezos as an entry point, somewhere people could put capital to work and provide liquidity for the wider ecosystem. Rebuilding that activity requires reasons for capital to arrive, circulate and stay. Projects have an opportunity to establish those reasons through things people actually use.
Speculation can exist around those products, but buyers should have something beyond price momentum to evaluate. Are people participating? Are they coming back? Is there demand for what the token enables, and does that activity help fund the community behind it?
The aim should be economies that can withstand changing markets. No token is immune to a downturn, but we can build systems whose usefulness and ability to operate don’t depend on the price always going up.
That means funding grounded in actual use, community funds managed to keep things running, and rewarding people for contributing without making participation depend on someone else’s promise of easy profit.
we spent years proving that people would buy tokens without having anything they can do with them... now we have the opportunity to build things people want to do, and give them meaningful ownership within those experiences.
If we want to rebuild correctly, we need tokens that help fund our communities through changing markets. We need to care whether people are still creating, trading, participating and building when the excitement wears off.
People should have a reason to stay when the price stops going up.
