Absent from the Kool Aid discourse has been the fact that the Jonestown victims didn’t drink Kool Aid at all—it was another brand they drank: Flavor Aid

Nice to meet you, Hakeem! It's time to get familiar.

It begins? A chaotic unseating effort by a group of people with disparate politics but with one unifying message: These losers/cowards in charge need to go.

I love that AI Overviews is just allowed to get stuff mildly wrong all the time in ways that could actually cause real business problems for people.
But it's AI, so it's fine.

Site Reputation Abuse has been a wild ride, and unlike any other type of penalties/manual actions I've worked on in my career.
Pretty shocked to see the lengths Google went to to demote freelancer content.
Interesting to see Google mention "redoing the content as first-party content" as an option here.

One would think the last minute 2024 Google Spam Update would address… the highly visible spam constantly surfaced by the SEO community (and highly visible to users). But what do I know.

Another example of a publisher that Google killed—and it’s worth noting that @natejhake ran a massive publication that got crushed in this update too.
My uncle runs a small hobby website. He writes about his passion on the side. Does not know the first thing about SEO, nor would he care.
He read the CNET story about how Google is killing websites and realized he felt like his traffic had died off the past 2 years. So he went in for the first time in a long time to check his GSC.
Turns out his graph looks just like "down and to the right" graph of my site (Travel Lemming) that was published in CNET.
Google's approach to AI isn't just going to kill the professional publishers. Google will also slowly erase all the little websites that make the open web great.

AI Overviews has no fact checking system IG, Blue Lock is not available on VizMedia Nor Mangaplus since its a property of Kodansha! As I have exposed multiple times ComingSoon has literally no idea about the manga and yet they publish content on it, AIO is using them to display!
A last piece on this website, won't be publishing on it anymore!
