Manchester United fans, please listen to Jamie’s breakdown of your team.
Jamie Carragher did some analysis on Monday Night Football tonight and they were really top.
Firstly, he said Tielemans thrived under Unai Emery even without having pace because Emery coaches his team to be very compact. You can hardly open them up, hence, you can’t outrun them because they close you up quickly.
I noticed this because if you look at Kamara also, he’s not quick at all, but he’s a monster.
Secondly, he analysed how Manchester United players are never ready, especially for the second balls. Tottenham were winning everything. The standing posture of the United players was so poor, they weren’t ready for balls.
He added that Manchester United didn’t even fight, they were just casual and lackadaisical in summary.

This has got to be the most moronic story of the month. It's genuinely so stupid it frankly boggles the mind.
It was broken by Norwegian daily "Dagens Næringsliv" (DN) under the title "Chinese-owned rental cars filmed secret exercise: Saved video of soldiers and codes" (dn.no/forsvar-og-sikkerhet/k…).
BUT when you look into the story what actually happened is that, for an exercise, the Norwegian army was short on cars so it rented some from Hertz.
Those rental cars had dashcams - as cars do - that the soldiers mistakenly kept on. At one point, some soldiers found out about that: they were clicking through the car menus out of boredom and stumbled on the footage, including clips of themselves typing gate codes in front of the camera. They deleted the footage. There is zero evidence the footage left the car.
THAT'S IT, that's the whole story.
China hysteria being what it is in Europe these days, this somehow got transformed into a "China spying" story because Hertz Norway is owned by Volvo, itself owned by Geely (a Chinese company), and 2 of the cars were from a Chinese brand, Deepal.
The narrative apparently being that Geely, through Volvo, through Hertz, deliberately left standard dashcams on in rental cars in the hope that the Norwegian military would one day rent them and forget to turn the dashcams off 🤦
And now, as is always the case, it's being spread globally by accounts like Clash Report 👇, which even found a way to make the story dumber: their version has the cars as "Chinese-owned Volvos", when they weren’t Volvos at all.
Such is the contemporary media ecosystem: one outlet invents the hysteria, the next one strips away the last remaining nuance and we all end up dumber for it.
Norwegian soldiers discovered that Chinese-owned Volvo rental cars recorded and stored videos during a major military exercise in Oslo from September 14–18.
The footage captured soldiers entering and leaving vehicles, their movements, locations and even security codes used to access restricted areas.
Despite the discovery, the military continued using the cars due to a lack of alternatives.

“Fuck you, genuinely” — a fearless Kenyan Gen Z rebukes mourners at his late brother’s funeral for using it as a political platform.
He said that the two had a pact before his death to keep the service free of politics.

This response to Kelly Clarkson’s post will be studied by communications professionals for years.
I give it an A+
Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out 👎

Not gonna lie, this is how I'm gonna start explaining myself to people who constantly ask for money at places. I understand that people are struggling but we all are and dude makes a very very valid point. I went to the store the other day, 3 bags of nothing was 90 bucks.

Women are just as aggressive as men. The only difference is they hit who they KNOW can't hit back.
I have friends working as security / managing bars and clubs. They see this every weekend.
A woman will not hesitate to slap a man, throw a drink in his face, scratch him, hit him over a relatively minor argument IF she knows the crowd will protect her.
And she knows they will. She knows if he grabs her back, 5 white knights will jump in. She knows if cops get called, HE is getting arrested. Every time.
That is not "less aggressive." That is calculated aggression.
Male aggression is dumb and direct: I am mad, I hit you, I deal with the consequences.
Female aggression is strategic and protected: I am mad, I hit you, I know you can't hit me back because society will destroy you if you do.
She outsources her violence to bystanders and to law enforcement. She gets to strike, and then play victim the second there is a reaction.
That is leveraging violence by proxy.
So don't give me this myth that women are more peaceful, more nurturing, better at "de-escalating" and "administrating conflict."
They are not de-escalating. They are just fighting in a way where they are guaranteed to win because the system is rigged for them.
If you know you can punch someone and they legally can't punch you back, you're not less violent. You're just a bully with a badge of protection.
And that's exactly what the data shows.
What happened to "Don't lay your hand on a woman"? 😒
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The video is from a 2021 Steelers preseason game. It shows a woman slapping a man first before the brawl; bystanders stated she initiated physical contact.

Miguna Miguna is most ungrateful in his unjustified and unwarranted criticism of Edwin Sifuna. Sifuna was the first responder when Miguna was seized that Friday morning.
Sifuna, myself and many other volunteer Advocates risked our lives fighting for his liberty from March 2018 until 20th October, 2022 when he received his passport and went straight to State House to celebrate with the people who had oppressed him.
For the record, Sifuna went as far as raising funds from well wishers to support our fight for Miguna. Miguna is a monumental disgrace and shame to humanity as well as the legal profession.

Leo I was at Mlolongo, heading back into town via Jogoo Road, running on pure hope and 80 bob in Airtel Money.
Kabla nipande, I asked the conductor, “Hadi Doni ni how much?”
“70 bob.”
I offered 60. Classic test. Sometimes they fold. This one didn’t.
So there I was: either alight at Donholm and walk like a pilgrim, or pretend I paid all the way to town and pray the conductor develops selective blindness.
I boarded the Embassava, sat down, and immediately started having an existential crisis. Five hundred metres later we stopped to pick more humans, and a short girl with cornrows and a face card that could start wars sat next to me. She smelled like she had her life together. I, meanwhile, smelled like overdue rent and unfulfilled LinkedIn applications.
I wanted to say hi. I wanted to compliment her. Instead my anxiety did what it does best: turned me into a malfunctioning NPC. Also, I had exactly 10 bob left. I’d heard those legends of men paying a girl’s fare to look chivalrous. With 10 bob I couldn’t even look charitable.
My sister called. I answered in French:
“Hurira after thate minutes ndî matatu îna inegene, please.”
The Mpongo Love babe side-eyed me. I could feel her reassessing my entire bloodline. For a second I felt like the mysterious bilingual girl in a matatu romcom. Then the club bangers kicked in, MC Mido saying unspeakable things, and when “Shake It to the Max” dropped she sang every word.
Gen Z confirmed. Early twenties. Going for hepi. Me? A geriatric millennial whose idea of excitement is refreshing job boards until the Wi-Fi cries.
Then it happened.
She put her head on my shoulder. Looked me dead in the eyes to check my reaction. And just… stayed there. Scrolling TikTok like this was normal.
People in the matatu started giving us the jealous couple stare. We looked cute except stuck in traffic between Syokimau and Pipeline with no memory-erasing machine in sight. Every time the bus hit a bump her head shifted… and she put it right back. I could feel her body heat through my black hoodie.
I said nothing. Not a single word.
But for a few minutes I forgot I was jobless, living at a relative’s place that had reached the “they hide the toothpaste and tissue” stage of hospitality, and refreshing job sites like a man waiting for a miracle. It felt like when a strange cat chooses you, or a baby smiles at you for no reason. Warm. Temporary. Dangerous.
Maybe God sent that pretty little girl with cornrows just to distract me from my problems for one Monday evening in October. I might never see her again. But I will remember that bus ride.
We got to Donholm. The conductor, who had clearly been watching me the whole time like a CCTV, asked for the remaining 20 bob. I told him the truth: I was broke. He sighed the sigh of a man who has seen every trick, then dropped me at Jogoo Road where I was supposed to alight anyway.
Anyway, good people… if you know of any marketing jobs (or literally any job that doesn’t involve flying planes or performing surgery), please connect a human. My dignity and my Airtel balance thank you in advance.
