THE UNTOLD STORY OF AMITABH BACHCHAN'S INDRAJEET! 🎬💔 Released on 2 August 1991, Indrajeet had everything on paper: Amitabh Bachchan in the lead, Jaya Prada, Neelam Kothari, Kumar Gaurav, Kader Khan and music by R. D. Burman. But behind the camera, the film had a heartbreaking journey. The film's producer, Ramesh Behl, passed away on 5 January 1990, before its completion. His death reportedly created serious financial difficulties, putting the entire project in trouble. His wife, Bubbles Behl, helped bring the film to completion. Neelam Kothari reportedly refused to take her remuneration, while other members of the cast also supported the project. There was another fascinating incident during filming. Amitabh Bachchan was struggling with a karate sequence involving Neelam. The fight master reportedly lost his patience and shouted at the superstar. Instead of getting angry, Amitabh later gave him a dialogue scene to perform, explaining how difficult it can be to do something outside one's expertise. A lesson in humility from the Shahenshah himself! Despite all these efforts, Indrajeet failed to become a major commercial success and remains one of the lesser-remembered films of Amitabh's career. A film with a superstar, a legendary music director and such a remarkable production story deserved a much better fate. Sometimes, the biggest drama happens behind the camera. 💔
