€45,000 spent on recruiting. 11 weeks post-raise. Zero hires. This is the default outcome for most funded startups — and it follows a completely predictable sequence. At @rec_berry we broke it down slide by slide. Swipe through → save for later. — If you're a founder, CTO, or work in tech hiring, this one's for you. #StartupHiring #TechRecruitment #CTOLife #PragueStartups #PayOnPlacement #TalentStrategy #StartupLife #Recberry #TechHiring #SeriesA

Your retainer gets paid whether the role closes or not. Retained searches typically run 25–35% of first-year pay. On a €90K engineer, that's €22,500 to €31,500 before anyone starts. Ask what you're buying: a process or a hire. audit for FREE: What Is Reactive Hiring Actually Costing You? recberry.com/tools/hiring-co…

89 applications. 85 silences. One decision to stop chasing and start being findable. what changed: stopped rewriting bullets, stopped refreshing inbox, started evaluating instead of begging. what didn't change: still had to interview, still had to evaluate fit, still had to decide. the outcome: not hired yet, but no longer exhausted. Signal-to-noise ratio flipped completely. worth reading if you're tired of CV_final_v12.docx and applications that vanish into silence. 🔗 linkedin.com/pulse/i-stopped… (I work at vairee — bias disclosed) #JobSearch #CareerTransition #TechCareers

In my experience, funded startups start their senior search 4 to 6 weeks after the money lands. Specialised engineering roles already take 70 to 89 days to fill. Those weeks don't come back, and your board will ask why the org chart hasn't moved. @rec_berry

Over 70% of companies hiring senior engineers in October's HN thread hid their pay band. Senior engineers read that silence as a lowball. Your offer problem may start before the offer. Publish the band before the first call. It's the cheapest fix on your list.

last job search: 83 applications, 40 email refreshes/day, zero control we made a carousel on the shift from "i hope they pick me" to "i'm evaluating whether this fits" clearest explanation i've seen of why job search feels powerless + what changes when you flip it (work at vairee, bias disclaimer)
