Sorry to ask:
Should a human being be allowed to be a veterinary doctor? Because how can a human being know how to treat a German Shepherd when you have never had the same life experiences as a dog?
Personally I think dogs should treat dogs. Cats should treat cats. That’s the way it should actually be. If this sounds stupid to you, congratulations, your brain is working (and that’s a very rare thing on this app these days).
Anyway this question and tweet is not about dogs, cats or veterinary doctors.

we've now accepted 20+ startups into the inaugural 16vc accelerator.
our selection process has been intentional.
we've prioritised founders who have already built at least 50% of what they're setting out to build, founders who have executed independently, shipped products, acquired users, and demonstrated real traction.
we're looking for people who have shown they can make things happen with the resources they have, not just people saying what they could build if they had funding.
for the remaining spots, we're taking more time with due diligence. we want to make sure we can add meaningful value to every company we bring into the cohort.
the goal isn't simply to fill 25 spots. it's to build a group of founders who can learn from each other and execute together.
final selections by mid-november.
We've now completed interviews with founders for the inaugural 16VC Accelerator.
20+ startups have been accepted, while the remaining applications are progressing through due diligence.
We're building a global cohort of ambitious pre-seed and seed founders.
25 companies. $200K upfront.
London · San Francisco · New York.
We'll finalise the cohort and close all remaining spots by mid-November.
More updates soon.

We’re not kids anymore. Now my mom tells me her problems, and I hide mine so she doesn’t have to worry. ❤️🩹
Highly self-aware people struggle with addiction. They feel fucking everything. These mediocre surface level things can never ever satisfy their minds. They'll laugh with you. They'll nod and smile, but inside their heart is burning. Burning for more depth. More authenticity. They have obsessions nobody around them shares. They want to talk about philosophy, literature, psychology, quantum physics, books, music, films, conspiracy theories. Things they've gone so deep into that ordinary conversation just don't do it for them. And all they get is the "weather". Who won the game. Politics. Just that rotten small talk. And small talk feels like suffocation. So... they escape. They drink. Smoke. Work until 2 am. Doomscroll till they're so tired that they feel nothing. There this gap between who you actually are and the people available to you. And that gap is one of the loneliest places a person can live in.

i always feel flattered when people think highly of me, strangers especially. but i’ll always prefer you underestimate me. so when i later surprise you, at least, e go be within my capabilities, not some ridiculous expectations you have of me wey pass my power.

isolation. call it unhealthy if you want, but it remains the most undefeated coping mechanism.

I’m in love with this sentence:
“The degree to which a person can grow is directly proportional to the amount of truth they can accept about themselves without running away.”
