I'm fuming.
King Charles, through Duchy of Lancaster, received over ยฃ60m in 10 yrs from people without known blood relative dying without making a will
NOTE: Duchy of Cornwall (Prince William) does the same
Royal income is not accountable like a public body (it should be) so a difficult investigation for @guardian ๐๐ผ
ROYAL RESOLUTION today
Invest ยฃ100m into "ethical funds" & keep collecting the money
OUR RESOLUTION
STOP taking the money AND give what you have taken already to charities in those areas.
Imagine the difference that would make
NEW: King Charles is transferring more than ยฃ100m of his estateโs investments, including funds collected from dead people under the archaic system of bona vacantia, into ethical funds after an investigation by the Guardian. theguardian.com/uk-news/2023โฆ

Watch #Partygate @Channel4 right now, record it..
Play it on loop until the General Election
Never forget the disdain with which this govt treated the vulnerable, the elderly, the children, the lonely, those who died alone.
While their "associates" profited from VIP Lane deals
Watch out for #Partygate on โฆ@Channel4โฉ tonight at 9.30. In it Iโm playing Boris Johnson, both vocally and physically, filmed over the shoulder and at distance so as to blend with the real news footage. โPartygateโ is a tough watch in places but a very important one..

Itโs hard to know who and what to trust these daysโฆ
But this incredible clip nails it
Simply:
Donโt trust idiots
And how do you spot an idiot?
Look for the people who are cruelโฆ

This is such an excellent and exquisitely written sketch. Anyone know who? A glass of champagne from table 2 in their direction.

Police arrest peaceful anti-monarchy protesters & have erected giant barriers to osbcure pro-republic banners. Right to freely protest suppressed. Shame!

We live in a grotesquely unequal society that concentrates wealth, status & power in the hands of a few.
Real patriotism is about building a society that cares for each other and cares for all.
