To say that I'm skeptical would be a massive understatement... hoping it's actually good though!

I don't know, this DevDay felt a bit... underwhelming? A lot of buzz words but nothing about it felt truly spectacular.

To fellow lurkers/small creators on here: How does seeing the constant stream of near-identical projects + hype around the shiny new thing actually make you feel? Does seeing people ship, grow, go viral etc. motivate you to put your own stuff out there? Or does the "sameness" of it all make you less interested in creating/posting at all? I genuinely can't tell where I land. Somewhere between inspired, bored, and discouraged 🫠

Too many honorable mentions to list them all out.. I'm wondering, anyone out here played Benefactor or Moonstone back in the good ol' Amiga days?

Me and my fiancée are apartment hunting and we were trying to understand how much light we'd get throughout the day. So I had Claude Opus 5.5 build a quick sun simulation from the floor plans and some basic parameters of the building. This one gets morning sun in all three bedrooms and ~8h in the living room in September, meanwhile the other flat we liked barely gets any in summer because the loggia shades it.

I'd be fine if AI just stopped here. Opus 5.5 level is plenty enough. Coding's more or less solved, yet AI is still only a perfect assistant, not a direct replacement and honestly we don't need it getting so good at 3D, art and games that it replaces the people making them.
